The quotes on here may sound funny because some of them are different lines from the same song (i.e. "Gypsy").  They are marked with a *.  Don't freak, I know my lyrics!!!

1/5/98-The album of the day is........Rumours  by Fleetwood MacThis album is awesome.  Recorded in the mists of relationships breaking up, this album is full of emotion and drive.
"I'll follow you down 'till the sound of my voice will haunt you..."-Original Silver Springs that was cut from the album Rumours.
  "niener niener"

1/18/98-The song of the day is "I Can't Wait" by Stevie Nicks.  When I first got the album Timespace, this was the song I hated.  Now I love it and I can't figure out why.  It's a real "80's" song and it has a lot of stupid synthesizers, but it grows on you.  "well she dances around in a circle...she's got that feeling now...."

1/19/98-The song of the day is "Go Insane" by Lindsey Buckingham.  This song was originally found on Mr. Buckingham's solo album Go Insane, but the version I'm talking about is the "Go Insane" on The Dance.  This one is acoustic and is  very powerful.  It really shows his talent as a guitar player.  "So I go insane, like I always do..."

2/15/98-The song of the day is "Juliet".  It's off of Stevie's solo album "The Other Side of the Mirror".  I didn't like the album at all when I first got it.  I thought it was over-produced (I still do) and some of the concepts don't fit her music at all.  Bad Rupert Hine!!!  But the music can't help but grow on you.  It's Stevie...it just does.  You can say you don't like it all you want, but then you start humming the tune and you are a goner.  Anyway, this is a very neat song if you ever get to hear it.  Makes you smile even if you don't want to.  "....she said, 'the sky is crying', he says, 'no, the sky is blue'..."

The week of: 2/15/98-The Album of the Week really isn't an album--it's "The Dance" on video (FM's reunion concert).  Everytime...."Silver Springs".....*sniffle*.....heart wrenching....*sniffle**sniffle*.  And it makes me mad that "Gold Dust Woman" isn't on The Dance CD.  "The Chain" is intense and Lindsey doesn't slip up this time and say "fuck" like he did on Rumours.  I want to do "Tusk" in marching band next year, but Mr. Bobo will never listen to me.  I recommend The Dance cd to anyone new to FM or to anyone wanting to be new to FM.  "...well did she make you cry, make you break down, shatter your illusions of love?  And is over now, do you know how to pick up the pieces and go home?"-Gold Dust Woman

   "Landslide"

2/16/98-The Song of the Day is "Gypsy".  It is found on Mirage by Fleetwood Mac.
"...i'm back to the gypsy that I was....lightning strikes-- maybe once, maybe twice... and if I was a child, and the child was enough; enough for me to love, enough to love...." * 'nuff said.

3/15/98-The Song of the Day is "No Spoken Word", on Rock A Little, a Stevie solo album.  This song is pure rock, in your face.  The lyrics are strong and the singing will knock you down.
"She said 'Look out...I don't know how to learn from the pages of a book".  Well, either I say too much, or I...I don't say enough.  Well, I play too hard, still I'm not tough enough..." click here for entire lyrics.

3/16/98-The Song of the Day is "Imperial Hotel", from Rock A Little.  This is such a cool song.  It is really catchy and I think this a song anyone can like.
"He says to her...'why do you do it?'  She says to him...'why do you stay?'  Then they say unspoken words to explain it.  He says, 'baby, I hate to see you this way.  I hate to see you... I hate to see you cry...'
Well, you can get her... but you can't keep her.  And you can't catch her fall.  She will call you when she needs you, you know where she lives... The Imperial..." click here for entire lyrics.

3/15/98/-3/21/98-The Song of the Week is "Fireflies" (this one is for you, George!!) from the 1980 album Fleetwood Mac Live.  This is a great song!  I really don't know how to describe it...it has a lot of chromatics, though!!!
"To be the last to leave, the last to be gone, stolen from the ones who hung on to it.
To be the last in line, the ones that live on, silhouette of a dream, treasured by the ones... who hung on to it. I would love to believe .. I believe what you say.  In the drama of the moment, oh, there's no easy way.  No one ever leaves. Every one stays .. close till the fire .. fades."* click here for entire lyrics.

5/22/98-The Song of the Day is "Violet and Blue" by Stevie Nicks.  This song appears on her 3-cd box set "Enchanted".
"So where have you gone...have you gone so far from the eyes that
speak trouble? And even when the warning is...overwhelming..."-click here for entire lyrics.

5/23/98-The Song of the Day is "Gold and Braid" by Stevie Nicks.  This also appears on "Enchanted".  This song quickly became one of my favorite songs.  It is preformed live and has a kickin' piano solo in the middle.
"Don't hide behind your hair...it's a bit of gold and braid.  Easy come the tears, you see a pathway ending with a doorway....you slip toward the doorway.  Been waiting there all day...all these years."-click here for entire lyrics.

5/24/98-The Song of the Day is "Greta", by (who else) Stevie Nicks.  This song is on her solo album "Street Angel".
"Alone in her chambers...she dreams of her home.  Outside...she's got a movie star view. Outcries...well where will the kings go...where will the kings go now?  She's got her eyes wide open...and she's ready to stare you down."-click here for entire lyrics.

5/25/98-The Song of the Day is "Freedom" by Fleetwood Mac.  This song is on the 1990 album "Behind the Mask".
"Look at me with daggers, it won't do you any good.  All the looks that you've used on me don't work now that you've fallen, fallen, fallen...."-click here for entire lyrics.

6/1/98-The Song of the Day is "Sisters of the Moon", by Fleetwood Mac.  This is from the album "Tusk". (these lyrics from the Mirage Video)
"So we make our choices, when there is no choice. And we listen to their voices, we ignore our own voice.  And when the people who gather around you, do you remember that the were the most cruel?"

6/2/98-The Song of the Day is "Paper Doll" by Fleetwood Mac.  It is on "25 Years....The Chain" box set.
"Come on now, let sad winds blow down.  As the rain came...she refused to wear her coat.  But deep in her heart she knew....that the song must go on.  He says, 'well I have forgotten you and your beautiful eyes...we were off the wall.  We were mirrors of our former selves, well...."-Click here for entire lyrics.

1/18/99-The Song of the Day is "Magnet and Steel" by Walter Egan, which is found on his album Not Shy. Ok, ok, this isn't a FM/Stevie song, but Stevie and Lindsey sing back up on most of the album. Walter's voice isn't exactly music to my ears, but I LOVE this song anyway...

"Ooh ooh ah....Now I told you so you ought to know .....Ooh it takes some time for a feelin' to grow....Ooh you're so close now I can't let you go.....Ooh and I can't let go...For you are a magnet and I am steel ."

1/19/99-The Song of the Day is "If You Ever Did Believe" by Stevie Nicks, appearing on the Practical Magic Soundtrack.

"My mind won't rest and I don't sleep...not even in my dreams...If you ever did believe, for my sake...if you ever did believe....

1/20/99-The Song of the Day is "Rooms on Fire" by Stevie Nicks, on the album The Other Side of the Mirror.

"Well maybe I'm just thinking that the rooms are all on fire
Everytime that you walk in the room
Well there is magic all around you, if I do say so myself...
I have known this much longer than I've known you

She had trusted many...
And then there would be someone who would enter into her presence
That she could sense for miles..."

1/21/99-The Song of the Day is "Only Lonely" by Hootie and the Blowfish.

Ok, I know I said I didn't like this album. But I heard this song on the radio this weekend and it literally made me burst into tears (which only a few songs can do). Click here.

And go home....
