What is Achromation? The Magical art of Achromation also known as Achromancy derives it's name from the verb to achromate which is defined as the transformation of white light into the color spectrum. Much like crystals which perform such a task, this craft strives to capture the simplicity and purity of the essence of that which we refer to as Magic. The information contained within this site is of the advanced nature and is not meant or designed for the beginner. Many techniques will require knowledge of basic High Magic rituals and as such are not covered within this site. The reason for this is simply that there are far too many courses written on the fundamentals and the world doesn't really need one more. To do so would only duplicate that which is already known and accepted and that is not the purpose of this site. This site is designed to evoke new ideas and present a new perspective on magical concepts and theory. The goal is not to tell the reader what is what, but to teach the reader how to discover such hidden knowledge on their own. The techniques contained within this site should not to be used to harm others or to be selfishly abused for personal gain. To do so would be very hazardous to one's personal well being. Much of the information contained herein has been derived through Angelic Magic. To use Angelic Magic is to take on the Great Work and this requires the acceptance of one's responsibility for one's karma during this lifetime. The misuse of Achromancy is double trouble for not only is it Angelic Magic, but it is also very quick and effective, thus the karma is equally swift and harsh. In a nutshell, to abuse Achromancy is like putting a gun to your head and pulling the trigger. The difference is that russian roulette is a lot more merciful.
Magic, how does it work? Many years ago, I was shopping at a Hermetic supply store when I overheard a conversation between the shop clerk and a customer. The customer, apparently a beginner in the craft of Wicca was visibly frustrated. He explained to the clerk his trials and tribulations of casting a prosperity spell, much to his dismay as the spell did not bring to him the rewards that he so much desired. The clerk responded with consolation and assurances, that if he believed strong enough, it would take effect. Back then, I was metaphorically a small fish in a tiny pond with this really big ego and as I witnessed this event unfold; I thought to myself that there was no way that this guy would ever make it happen. Looking back at that moment, now that I have gained a bit more years under my belt and learned a little thing called compassion; I noticed something that I had overlooked. The clerk didn't really answer the customer's question. In fact, throughout the years when I have heard this question surface again and again, I have never heard anyone truly answer this question. Where does Magic come from and how does it work? Why is it when a person says a few words, waves his arms and walks in a circle, something magical occurs? Why is it, that when someone else does the exact same thing, nothing happens? How is it that two traditions can say exactly opposite things, yet both work proving that neither is wrong? Many books will say that Magic is the art or science of creating physical change that cannot be explained through science. This again does not answer the question, instead it states that Magic is defined by the end result falling into this specific category. What this definition fails to explain is what exactly is Magic and how it works. We shall answer the question of how Magic works and we shall do this together. To answer such a question requires a process called Passive Acquisition. In magical study you will often run into knowledge that cannot be taught. At times, you will need to find things that you will have no idea how to find and you will question yourself when you find it. You will ask yourself questions such as, "Did I really astral travel, or was I dreaming?" or "Was this creative visualization, clairvoyance, or just wishful thinking?". These questions of self doubt will race through your mind and get you spinning in circles. Passive Acquisition answers these questions and helps you defeat your worse enemy, you. Passive Acquisition is a process of elimination where all things that are proven to be false are systematically removed until all that remains is what conceivably must be the truth. This process may be used for any form of discovery, including, psychic, magical and astral.
The Method of Passive Acquisition STEP ONE. You must have a clear idea of what you are trying to accomplish. Often times people will have this great urge to search and they have no idea what it is they are searching for. Usually they deceive themselves into believing that when they find what they are looking for, they will know somehow that this is the item that they were seeking. Unfortunately, that day never comes for many and the search is usually abandoned. STEP TWO. Find out all you can about what it is you are seeking. Every search does not necessarily require the seeker to start from scratch. If information exists, then it is to your advantage to use it. STEP THREE. Determine what would be considered as a successful end to your search. If you're trying to make it rain, the result would be if it rained. If your trying to scry, the result would be that the vision came true. STEP FOUR. Consciously initiate the search. Many say they are searching for something, but they never get around to the action part of their search. In a way they are conducting a search, but they aren't doing anything, hence the search may go on for lifetimes. Always remember that the right to Magic must be earned through wisdom, and the right to find something must be earned through searching for it. STEP FIVE. Every attempt in the search must be carefully recorded. This would include any details and circumstances that are related to the search and had occurred during the attempt (such as weather, emotional state, physical condition, moon phase etc... ). Through record keeping, information retained on what did or didn't work can best be utilized. STEP SIX. Should an attempt be unsuccessful record the details and circumstances as such, so as to know what not to repeat. Continue with Steps 4 and 5 with each attempt under different circumstances. STEP SEVEN. Once you have come across a result that seems to be what you are looking for, compare the results to the list that you created on step 3. Does it meet your criteria as a successful discovery. STEP EIGHT. Should you determine that the results is a success, try to reproduce it in order to determine which of the circumstances are in fact factors that are necessary to attain what it is you are searching for. In most cases, the desire is not to experience something once, but to have the ability to recreate the experience at will. STEP NINE. Each time that you attempt to reproduce the results, eliminate one of the circumstances that you believe is important. If the attempt still results in a success, then that circumstance is not required. Should the attempt fail, then the circumstance that had been removed is necessary and should be brought back. Although this process seems like it turns the search for knowledge into a science experiment, keep in mind that science uses such processes because it produces results. There is no reason that it can not be applied to the workings of the inner mind.
How Magic Works STEP ONE. You must have a clear idea of what you are trying to accomplish. The objective of this search is to determine how Magic actually works, to include an answer of why Magic produces changes that cannot be explained through physical context. STEP TWO. Find out all you can about what it is you are seeking. Information pertaining that we believe to be true:
Cosmic Laws that apply to Magic:
STEP THREE. Determine what would be considered as a successful end to your search. A successful end of this search would be to fully answer the question of how Magic actually produces change in the physical world. STEP FOUR. Consciously initiate the search. Should a scientist discover that psychic impressions stem from residual vibrations imprinted on inanimate objects, would such a discovery disprove psychic vision as magical? STEP FIVE. Every attempt in the search must be carefully recorded. The answer is no. Due to the Cosmic Law that everything physical is connected to the ethereal plane, it is insignificant whether science should prove it to be true or not. What is magical is magical, proven physically or not. STEP SIX. Should an attempt be unsuccessful record the details and circumstances as such, so as to know what not to repeat. I believe this attempt is a success. STEP SEVEN. Does it meet your criteria as a successful discovery? The answer is yes. It shows that science does not have a bearing on what is or isn't magical. By doing so, it eliminates science as determining factor on how Magic works. STEP EIGHT. Should you determine that the results is a success, try to reproduce it. Obviously this step does not apply to theoretical searches, although it could be used to make sure that the results make sense. STEP NINE. Each time that you attempt to reproduce the results, eliminate one of the circumstances that you believe is important. If the question pertained to telepathy being proven scientifically by a doctor, the results would still be the same. Science should be removed from the equation of how Magic works. In order to reduce years of research down to a manageable size, much of the results that have been recorded has been omitted. This has been done in order to produce a clearly defined answer to the question. The following statements are the results of this search for the hidden answer. If different traditions disagree on physical elements, yet both are able to produce Magic, then the physical elements are not truly associated to the magical process of change. The magical process does not require the physical elements to produce this change. If people can do physically exactly what others are doing and still are unable to produce Magic, then the source of Magic does not come from the physical actions. This also confirms that the physical elements do not produce this change. If the magical process does not require the physical elements and the physical actions are not the source of the Magic, then the process of Magic also does not exist in the physical plane. Therefore it must exist on a higher plane and the question is; which plane. Through working with Magic on the astral plane, although I was able to produce results; I was not able to see streams of Magic shooting out of anywhere. I was unable to see the process of Magic in action. The process of Magic must exist on an even higher plane, possibly the ethereal plane. Due to the physical-ethereal connections where everything exists partially in the ethereal, everything must partly exists of energy, thus everything is representative in the ethereal plane. If the change comes from the ethereal, then the force that initiates the change must be a force of energy. Due to the fact that the change is not understood in the physical, the end result is that the change originates from and changes things in the ethereal. by doing so forces the physical equivalent to also change in order to remain connected to the ethereal. This is why Magic works without us being able to see the change process and only the end result. There is nothing for us to see causing the change in the physical world. A good magician is able to seek out hidden knowledge. Passive Acquisition is a method in which answers may be obtained. I highly recommend that before continuing on in this site, you take the time to try this method of evaluation. A perfect topic of this experiment would be the question of where Magic comes from and what is the significance of the physical elements in Magic. By doing so, you may compare your findings to my own.
Where does Magic come from? If in fact the source exists in the ethereal and the ethereal cannot be conceivable in the physical world, then the source of Magic can only be located through it's physical counterpart. The definition of how Magic works, we have determined to be a form of energy causing change and if we are the one initiating the change, then it is reasonable to assume that this force is initiated through us. By considering other forms of energy initiated through us, we find that there are two other forms. These two forms of energy are physical action and our own emotions. Physical actions may be considered a form of energy because it produces change and in order to produce change, it requires force and force is energy. The functioning of our body is a physical action. As we exhale, the heat in our breath is energy. As we move things and ourselves, we burn calories which is energy. Emotions may also be considered a form of energy because it too produce changes. These changes occur in us and in others as they respond to our emotions. Strong emotions may sometimes demand a response such as joy produces laughter and compassion, charity. The conclusion is that the physical counterpart of the source of Magic exists in our mental process, and is the very same place that originates emotions and physical actions. The actual source itself exists in the ethereal and remains in the ethereal, thus emotions and physical actions are actually initiated in the ethereal. Consciousness (the initiator of action), too exists in the ethereal which is why it is not possibly to describe it in physical terms. Physical actions are forms of energy in the ethereal transforming itself in the physical. Emotions are forms of energy which we perceive in the ethereal, because our conscious mind exists in the ethereal. In other words our mind is an entity existing in the ethereal that possesses 5 senses to perceive the physical. Our ethereal mind is the source of Magic. This explains why it is so difficult for some to consciously make Magic work. It employs the use of part of the mind that many don't initially know how to use and in physical context, impossible to explain.
The Essence of Magic If two people do a ritual physically exactly the same and one works while the other doesn't, the obvious conclusion is that there must be something that they are doing differently that determines whether Magic works or not. By comparing both rituals you will find that the main difference exists in the mental process and there are two major areas dealing with the mental process. The first major area is faith and there are three levels. 1. You see things differently when you think something exists. You suspect that what you think is true, but you are not fully prepared to commit either way. To think is to contemplate the possibility of something being true. 2. You see things differently when you believe something exists. You are convinced that what you believe is true, but you are still open to the possibility that you might be wrong. To believe is to have an opinion, it doesn't necessarily have to be true. 3. You see things differently when you know something exists. You are completely positive that you are correct. There is no doubt in your mind and their is no way to persuade you otherwise. To know is to posses the truth. Magic requires that you know that it exists. Believing in Magic is not enough. One's faith has to be without question and you have to expect it to work. Such a faith cannot be chosen. You cannot choose to know that something exist. The only way to truly know something is to experience it personally. It sounds like a vicious circle to have to experience the end result before being able to initiate it in the first place. That's because it is a vicious circle and the circle must be broken in order to make Magic possible. The way to break the circle is to take small steps. Little leaps of faith are easier for the mind to handle. As you do so, you push the boundaries of your abilities and teach your mind that such things are possible and this will allow your mind to take larger steps. The second major area is mind state. This is often referred to as a creative visualization, but it is more that just picturing what something would seem like. If in fact what you were visualizing was real and right in front of you, it would change the way you see the world. It would change your state of mind and that mind state is what needs to be created. Visualization, although being a mental process is not the initiator of Magic but rather the mediator. Visualization is a process that uses imagery to stimulate a mind state. Faith is like an ethereal door. If you know that Magic works, it is as if the door is open, but you still need action to pass through this door in order for change to materialize. This is what the mind state does. It states in etherealistic terms that things are this way. Keep in mind that space and time does not exist in the ethereal plane therefore, concepts such as "has been" and "will be" have no meaning because they are time based. The concept of "change" requires an elapse of time therefore it too has no meaning. All that has meaning in the ethereal is the concept of "is" and the concept of "is not". The mind state simply states that things are the way they are, because the world is the way I see it and that is all there is to it. To acquire such a mind state is a very difficult task and to learn it from scratch is down right impossible. That is where the physical elements known as rituals comes into play. Entire rituals are designed for one single purpose and that is to acquire a specific mind state. To do this, rituals incorporate items that trigger the senses in a specific way which brings about the desired effect. This is why many teachers and books say that even if nothing occurs, continue doing the ritual, because eventually it will happen. As you become more and more familiar with a particular ritual, your state of mind increasingly becomes in tune with the physical elements of the ritual and the acquisition of the correct state of mind eventually will occur.
The Grand Perspective We are the Macrocosm playing a game with ourselves pretending to be the Microcosm. We peer through this narrow and limited view of reality judging what is real strictly based on what we can perceive in this physical world. We say that Magic is what we do not understand, but truth be known; everything is magical. Everything comes from the ethereal plane and manifests in this physical world. Everything is energy and only recently has science approached this concept as possible, but who cares what science has to say. In the ethereal plane energy is everything and energy is anything it wants to be. There is no such thing as depletion or excess. The ethereal plane is infinite and we are connected to it, therefore we are infinite. Our potential and our abilities are immeasurable and the only limitation we posses is our belief that it is not so. We are the Magicians and we control our destiny. We posses the Will and the knowledge and we can change this world. As we draw down the Light Divine, not in the physical, but in the ethereal plane; we project and utilize the true essence of our power outside of space and time.
