My personal opinion of the books in The Chronicals. Of course, they may differ from
yours, but, if you don't like it, write your own! See if I care!
*Warning: Spoilers for all of the Vampire Chronicals*
INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE
Copyright: 1976
IWTV is basicly the tale of Louis' life as a vampire. The book starts out in
San Francisco where Louis tells the then-mortal Daniel the story of his life.
Throughout the book, we are bombarded with rich detail, and much typical Louis-like
angst.Yummy.I personally think that this is one of Anne Rice's greatest works,
and the best book in the Chronicals. Even though the movie was *ok*, it just doesn't
measure up
THE VAMPIRE LESTAT
Copyright: 1985
TVL is Lestat's auto biography, and the first of the three VC's he has written. It tells
about his life in France, to his present day adventure as a rock star. Though the story
is a bit exadurated (as is Lestat's nature) it proves to be an exciting tale.
It has a cliffhanger of an ending, so be sure to have book three on hand when
you finish.
THE QUEEN OF THE DAMNED
Copyright: 1988
TQOTD, while at times being somewhat confusing, and quite frankly somewhat boring, TQOTD
is a pretty good book. After all, it's where you get your first real glimpse of Daniel;)
This book explaines all that happened the night of Lestat's San Francisco concert, and
the aftermath of Lestat's run-in with the Queen of the Damned herself. During the story,
we are introduced to a whole new batch of charectors, including Jesse, David, and The Twins.
