Dave Parsons was born on July 2, 1966. He started playing the bass when he was in highschool. A friend's band lost their bass player, and despite the fact that Dave couldn't play it, the band hired him, due to his enthusiasm. From there he went on to playing in the British band Transvision Vamp, and then Bush. His favorite song is "Debaser", by the Pixies. He is unmarried, but has a girlfriend, who appears in the video for "Cold Contagious".
