Mission2

Docker and other dilemnas

Location : The Great Hall, MIT campus
MD : Day 2, 7:55 pm

As Leo entered the great hall from the left of the meet, his eyes told him that he'd have quite a hike in front of him. "Man, this place must be about 10 miles long." He thought to himself. "At least it's named appropriately." He smiled knowing that Zenya was probably thinking the same thing as she entered from the other end of the hall.

[NRPG : Actually, this was my first impression when my friend told me that we had to walk through the Hall, aka Walkway to Forever, to get to the other side when I visited her a few years ago. Got to see Gore give the graduation speech that summer.]

"Zenya, you there?" Leo asked in the headset that he and Zenya were wearing in order to keep continuous updates.

"Right here, Leo." Zenya's voice said in his earset. "People could probably run a marathon in this hall."

Leo chuckled as he made his way past several students who were discussing what they were going to be doing that night, whether they should go see a movie or hang out at Gillian's, a local nightspot that featured pool tables, a bar, and other amusement games. As he walked down the hall, he could make out Carol, another woman whom he assumed to be Emily, and another man who had his back towards Leo.

"Leo, who's the guy standing with Carol and Emily?" Zenya asked.

"Not sure, he has his back to me." Leo answered, slowing his pace as another group of students made thier way past him.

"Ok." Zenya answered, "I don't like uninvited guests too much, and he looks like trouble."

Leo nodded. This whole situation was starting to get to him and he didn't know why. "I wonder if this is what Spiderman feels like when his spider sense goes off?" he thought to himself as he got a few feet closer to the group. As the crowd thinned out a little, he was able to see Zenya standing off to one side reading several fliers that were posted on the wall.

"Anything interesting?" Leo asked.

"Nope. not much, you?" Zenya answered.

"Not yet." Leo replied as he looked at his watch. Right on cue, Jordan and Martin walked up to the trio that were waiting for them. "It's showtime."

"Ok. Can you see the guy now? He moved."

Leo glanced off towards the group and looked at the odd man out. As soon as he saw who it was, he felt the urge to unholster his gun and empty it out into him. "Damnit." he hissed into the microphone.

"What? What is it?" Zenya asked, turning to see the fury on Leo's face.

Leo looked at Emily to see why Docker would be here in this situation. As he examined her from top to bottom, he finally saw the seemingly innocent ankle bracelet that Emily was wearing. It wouldn't have been noticed by too many people since it looked like a normal ankle bracelet, except that this one had a red light emanating from it. And that spelled trouble for Emily.

Leo turned back towards the fliers on the wall and Zenya followed suit.

"What is it?" Zenya repeated.

"Remember that face, Zenya." Leo answered. "That's Docker. He's got a miniature explosive locked around Emily's ankle, and it's armed!"

-----------------------------------------------

[[NRPG: Ok folks. Now here's a dilemna. No one knows about the explosive except Docker and Leo. Now what happens? Will Docker really let Emily go or will he blow her leg off? Just some info on the explosive, the range on the detonator is 100 feet. Does Leo and Zenya pump Docker full of lead and remove one bad guy from Team Bravo's list of baddies and find peace and happiness forever more or does he elude them? Should the students see a movie or go drinking? All these questions and more will be answered in the next chapter of "The Zulu Files"! Don't Miss Out! :) :) *grin* ]]

(sorry, letting my imagination get the best of me once again)

Respectfully Submitted,
