A Cheap Trick to Find out Where Someone Lives     Written by : bT                       


	This is a cheap trick on finding out where someone lives. I havnt seen a text file explaining this and how easy it is. So I decided to write this. This is very very easy to do. 

1) Ok the First thing you need to do is get the persons Ip address or their host. If this cannot be done than you cannot do this trick. If you are on ICq you can get the IP adress by lookin at the users info and hitting update. If you are on a chat client like JavaTalk .... Than you can usually double click on the name and it usually comes up with a host and IP. Ok now that you have the IP you can do the trick. 

2)Ok you have the IP (ex. 200.35.333.12) or the host (ex. linef20.platinum1.net).
 If you only have the IP address you have to get the host. You can do this by running tracert. At the DOS prompt type in : tracert <ip addy>. The last number it shows should be the IP and the host. (ex.  linef20.platinum1.net [200.35.333.12] ). That is the host. Ok from that you now need to goto Whois. The adress for whois is http://rs.internic.net/cgi-bin/whois.  Once you are there and you have the host now in the box type in the host. You have to do a little change. Say the host is linef20.platinum1.net you would type in (platinum1.net) in the box not the linef20. 
A address should pop up and that is the address where the ISP is located and usually where that person lives. This trick is not 100% effective. But it is a cool trick for in a chat room to impress a girl or someone who is pissin you off. 

3) If you cannot get the persons IP and the person is dumb you can tell him to goto start...run...than tell the person to type in (winipcfg) in the run box and tell him to read off the IP it shows (that is the persons IP). Tell that person a good excuse. Say you are testing something. Than from that you know how to get the host and stuff.
