Dudleytown

This is the story of Dudleytown...

It began in sixteenth century England. Edmund Dudley was minister and president of King Henry VII's council. Edmund was a very poweful person and also a very ruthless human being. He was caught embezzling from the king's treasury and was beheaded.

After Edmund's death, his surviving family members found their way to the colonies of the America. Thomas Dudley, who was the govenor of the Massachusetts Bay Company, was no different from Edmund. He was also ruthless man and hungry for power. Under his command many people were put to death, such as the Quakers whom he despised, and they were convicted for various so called "crimes." Legend has it that one of the men he put to death put a curse on him and the entire area of what was to become Dudleytown. Later, Thomas was found hacked to death on that same property and his killer was never found.

His surviving brothers Abijah, Abviel, Bavzillai, and Gideon, founded Dudleytown in 1632 and it wasn't long after that strange ocurrences began taking place. Men, women, and children were mysteriously being killed, poisoned, driven insane, and being besieged by ghosts and horrifing half men/half beast looking creatures.

It was in the 1800's that people began leaving Dudleytown. The last known resident to live there was in the early 1900's. Now, all that remains of Dudleytown are some old foundations, wagon wheels, and the many stories of the strange occurences that still continue to this day.
