The walk from Phakding Namche Bazaar - a small settlement in the clouds (3,440m)
was particularly exhilerating. It took a total of 6 hours - 3 of those involved a steep ascent all the way.. |
When we arrived it was cold, dark and very damp. We could hear the rats scuttling
about above our floor as we tried to get some rest in an unheated bedroom. Toilets
were quite disgusting. So, what was this all about? |
