HOW TO BACKUP YOUR REGISTRY

IN 4 SIMPLE STEPS

STEP 1: On your Start Menu, choose "RUN", and type in "REGEDIT" (without the ", of course). Then click "OK"

STEP 2: This will open the registry editor. Here, click the "File" menu, and click "Export registry".

STEP 3: In the "Save As" dialogue, choose a safe place for the file (I usually just put it on the desktop, for easy access), and name it "MyRegBackup.reg"

STEP 4: Close the Registry Editor.

HOW TO RESTORE YOUR REGISTRY

IN ONE EASY STEP

(These instructions assume you followed the instructions above when you backed your registry up)

STEP 1: On your desktop, double-click "MyRegBackup.reg", click "Yes", then click "OK"

YOU'RE DONE ! Your registry is now restored. It may be necessary to reboot your pooter (specially if you're in safe mode GOD FORBID !)
