You walk up to the door and knock. There is no answer. You can still hear Max meowing inside. You walk to the back of the house and you see a back door. The door is wide open. You say "hello" and get no reply. You call for Max but he does not come. You go inside. You are now in the kitchen. You hear a loud thud but your not sure where it is coming from. You think the noise may have come from upstairs.
