Min-Pin Links
Hi, I would like to tell you about my Min Pin. His full name is Sir Walter Richard, but we call him Walley. He is black and tan and a little over 13 pounds and loves to eat anything we do
with the exception of lettuce. He is my pride and joy and my second child. Min Pins bond with the person that they are with the most when they are babies. I am Walley's Alpha female
of his pack. Tom on the other hand had to fight for his Alpha Male position.
Owning a Min Pin is like having a 2 year old in your house full time. They get mad, pout and in general think that they have to be number one with everything that goes on.
He is a very good watch dog, he barks at anything that moves outside of his house and has fits when a stranger comes into the house. Walley knows excatly when he is to get his goodies and treats.
Goodies are dog bones and are given at 3 p.m. and when ever he does something wonderful (that is wonderful to him!) and his treat is a doggie bacon strip that he gets at 10:00 p.m. He knows excatly when
it is time for these treats and goodies, I just can't figure out how he knows!
His sister is Tabitha our cat. She is older than Walley and had never been around dogs until Walley. Walley loves to try to get her to play (but is doesn't work most of the time)
I think at times she waits to get him and enjoys it! She will wait outside the patio door daring him to come out and when he does she bats at him with her paws.
Walley still doesn't understand why the furry dog with sharp pointed things on its paws doesn't like to play. He has received a few scratched from her but nothing too deep. Just a friendly
reminder to Walley that she is the queen of the house no matter what he thinks.

Cat Links
As you have learned from above, Tabitha is our cat. She is a white and grey medium hair cat with green eyes and weights between 12 and 13 pounds. I found her when she was a kitten in the gutter in front of our house.
My son and I went door to door looking for her owner. she alas was one of the thousands of kittens that are dumped every year. Tom was none too excited when I brought her into our home. Acutally
it was done in steps, first the garage, then the back patio then inside the house. (You see at the time I brought Tabitha into the house we already had a Poodle, 2 cats, a huge fish tank and were
baby-sitting the schools iguana. Guess you could say we already had a zoo!)
Tabithas favorite thing to do is catch birds. She does it quite well, but she like to bring them to us to admire. Since moving here to New Mexico she has found out what scorpions and catcus plants are.
We have had to run to the Vets twice now for her encounters with them. She comes in every day at 5:00 sharp for her dinner. She is quite vocal and lets us know to get our back sides in gear to get that
canned food on the plate and in front of her.
She loves to take dirt baths and harass the dog. When she graces us with her company, she loves to be brushed and made a fuss over.
(Walley just about has a doggie heart attack when she is getting the attention and he isn't)
We hope in time to get pictures of our pets and post them here for everyone to see.
