    My ferrets mean the world to me. Two males and a female. She is the oldest. One of
    my ferrets passed away on July 4th, 1999. He passed away from heat stroke.
    I have some tips on how to prevent heat stroke:
        

          
Keep in a cool area
          
Make sure your ferret has plenty of water so s/he does not get dehydrated
          
If dehydrated, give karo syrup, PediaLyte, anything to rehydrate your ferret.
          
If too warm, put in a tub of lukewarm water 
(cold water is NOT a good idea. It could make you ferret worse).    
          
If serious, get your ferret to the Vet RIGHT AWAY!
          
The most important thing to do for your ferret is: DO NOT LIVE IN A TRAILER!
      
   If you keep these tips in mind, you might be able to save your beloved pet's life.




  
     Besides ferrets, I like many kinds of animals. Wolves happen to be my all-time
     favorite. I want to get a wolf hybrid eventually, but my husband and I do not 
     have the time, house, or money. I also need to do more research before I get one.
     If you have any suggestions about what I should read, I will be ever so greatful.
     I also like rats. I presently have only one male (Pepper) and one female (Monsy). 
     So many have been in and out of my life. To see pics of some of my rats, got to:

     If you ever get rats, do not get a male and female unless you plan on breeding them. 
     Once they breed, there is no stopping them. They are lil' breeding machines! ^_^
     
     In my opinion, rats make great pets if you start working with them when they are 
     young and impressionable.

     This page is dedicated to Houdini, my wonderful rat who passed away January of 1998!
