2004 was an interesting year here in Florida. We had four major storms come at us in jst a few short weeks. Here are a few pictures of the old house shortly after TS Jeanne was through with it, and some pics of the new house.
(Above) Two perspectives of the rather large oak that came down on the back of the house. Note the size of the two men in the picture on the right for a sense of scale. One's on the roof, the other's on the ground just to the right of where the tree goes into the side of the house.

Above: inside the living room looking at the computer area where the oak tree brought the roof down. In the center are two filing cabinets, one black and one white, with the two computers barely visible to the left. What remains of the computer chair is to the far left. What remains of the recliner is well hidden on the lower right corner.
The tree came down on September 26th, 2004. We *finally* got moved into our new place shortly after the New Year in 2005.

I made a point of ambushing all three kids one of the first few mornings after we moved in. Above left: the youngest kid, Choof. Above right: the middle kid, Ayo. Below: the oldest, Choola.
