Kevin Smith in our opinion
is one of the finest directors of our time. With such films as "Clerks",
"Mallrats", and his most recent sucess "Chasing Amy". All of his
films(so far) have revolved around sex, vulgarity, starwars, and 3-D eye
posters(It's a sailboat!).
Kevin started out with 26,000 dollars(which he recieved by selling his
comics, maxing out credit cards, and borrowing money) and made "Clerks".
The story of a convience store clerk's average day on the job(who's not
even supposed to be there!). It became a hit at sundance and made
over 3million at the box office.
His next film would be his first failure(although we think it is one of
his best!!). "Mallrats" is the story of two chums and their adventures
at the local mall. At the cost of 6 million dollars it made barely
half of that at the box office.
His redemption would soon bring the audiences back with his next flick
"Chasing Amy",which was considered one of the top 10 movies according to
many magazines and movie critics. The story is about a comic book
artist who falls in love with a lesbian and the wacky adventures of Bluntman
and Chronic.
