Entering tank, body noses down. Special primer flows into critical fender areas. |
Rustproofing- dip penetrates every seam, seals every surface up to 22 inches high. |
Leaving tank, the rear end dips deeper, coating- rearwheelhousing surfaces. |
SEVEN RUSTPROOFING DIPS-PLUS COMPLETE SPRAY PROTECTION
Deep-dipped seven times, sprayed and washed ten times, oven-baked three times -all these operations combat corrosion,
protect the finish of every standard-size Dodge, Dart and 880 model. Each body is dipped in rust-resistant primer three
inches deeper than ever before, adding 15% more corrosion protection to vital underbody areas. Metal surfaces are
bonderized so primer and paint won't peel, flake, or blister.
STAINLESS STEEL EXTERIOR TRIM
For longer lasting, better appearance, high-grade stainless steel is used for body moldings and ornamentation. Molding clips are made of nonrusting nylon, designed to hold the molding slightly away from body surfaces to prevent scratching, allow water to drain away freely. |
GALVANIZED ROCKER PANELS
On many cars, rust shows up first at the rocker panels underneath the doors. Standard-size Dodge and Dart models have extra protection in these vulnerable areas. Steel for body side-sills is "Galvanized"-plated with rustproof zinc on inner and outer surfaces before fabrication. Another Dodge durability feature. |
