*Not noticing his missing arm, TDK continues to walk through the
crowded festivities and spots Lord_Woodlouse trying to sing under the influence
of the bloodwine. Also being under the influence, TDK attempts to join
in but as he gets up beside the Woodlouse and tries to grab him to keep
his balance, TDK realises that his left arm is not where it's supposed
to be and falls on his face. He rolls over and attempts to shake his arm
around to see if that will make it reapear, but it doesn't work. It does
however cause everone standing near where his arm fell off to scream and
back away from the very active disembodied arm.*

The Far Star dipped into the athmosphere of the third planet.. 'Earth...'
corrected Elisia. She couldn't go around the planet acting like an observer,
she needed to interact with the natives, earn their trust, etc. As they
neared the mansion that the jubilations seemed to be centered, an impulsive
urge swept over her. Willing (It wasn't piloting, per se, as that would
have required physical manipulation, only her conscious thought, combined
with the neural interfaces directed the ship) the ship down, she used a
light deflector pulse to open the massive doors of the mansion. To the
surprise and awe of the all the party guests, she maneuvered the vessel
into position over the elegant, so far unmarked carpet, and dropped it
down, the crowd parting to make way. 'You ready, Mel?' 'Just a second,'
he said, coming into view. Before her eyes, Mel's body and face changed,
morphing into a perfect facsimile of a standard Infinitive Male, of the
Amalgamated races. Only a psionic scan would indicate he were anything
else, and he would make sure to avoid those types during the mission. Things
would be easier facillitated by the populace simply thinking them as organic
aliens than a cyborg and a super-robot. 'Well, then, let's go,' said Elisia,
taking Mel's hand, she placed a palm on the door control, activating it,
and the gangplank lowered. The onlookers gawked as the two aliens, apparently
out of nowhere, walked down, and, with a smile, raised arms and said, simultaneously
'We come in peace!'

*Having just recently retrieved his arm, TDK turns to the new visitors.
Holding his left arm in his right hand he says.* And we come in peices.
*His right leg disconnects (must be the high B.A.C.) itself, and as TDK
tries to take a step forward, he realises he can't and falls to the floor,
once again.* ghuy'cha'! *Rolls back over onto his back and sits up.* Where
the hell is the duct tape!?

The two quickly departed company to mingle in the crowd. They had
both gone over extensively over their story before they landed. They were
scientists, who were studying a rare wormhole phenomenon, which somehow
kicked them to this system. No, they had no idea where they were or where
their home was, but, until they were able to ascertain that, they would
like to sign on with one of the myriad crews here at the moment. They could
offer science and engineering services and their vessel would be at their
disposal, oh, and would anyone mind....

Those people not too drunk to walked took a look around the vessel.
Some were impressed, some sneered, but everyone was tempted to make an
offer to the two strangers...

'Interesting stuff, this... bloodwine.' thought Elisia. ' I don't
quite remember whether or not it actually had blood in it or not. I'll
have to ask Mel about it...' Walking nonchalantly to Mel, she stood close,
and, via microwave transmission from a com implant within her speech center,
she thought 'Mel, what do you know?' 'Well, Elisia,' the voice sounded
inside her head, clearer than any voice, 'I don't have many leads, but
I do have some people we should definitely avoid. Leroy the Protector tops
the list. As to who he is and his identity/purpose/etc., this is unknown,
however, he is known to appear at inoppurtune times and severely 'inconvenience'
people. Why, the com channels are buzzing about how he just pulled off
a one minute hijacking. Worth investigating are the Vulcans, who seem to
have some type of library that would do us very well to... peruse. I think
our offer for employment shall soon be taken up by some party or another,
most seemed impressed with the ship. Allies shouldn't be hard to come by
as long as we remain friendly and diplomatic. What of you? What did you
discover?' Elisia pondered a moment, then thought 'Mostly the same thing,
although I would like to get to know Stan, the cyborg. He may have some
interesting insights into the technorganic lifestyle. Well, I'm going to
hit some more of the bloodwine, before TDK finishes it all. We'll meet
again...' and she continued on her way, the exchange lasting less than
two seconds. 'And I forgot to ask about the bloodwine.' she thought as
she hit the barrel again. 'But, then, I probably don't want to know...'

As Elisia sauntered (even with a nano-enhanced blood filtration
system, bloodwine could inebriate) toward the cyborg at the bar, she detected
the unmistakable traces of a mentalic field. Interesting. Mentalics back
in Infinity was a rarely researched science, as there were few psi enhanced
individuals, and those few that were steadfastly refused medical analysis.
Extrapolations, theories, and outright guesses had led to the only advance
in psionics back home, the cranial transducer. Elisia thought of this,
rubbing the hard, nanotubule-braced bone swellings behind one of her ears.
It wasn't true mentalics. Not really. All the transducers did was channel
ambient energy (heat, electrical, etc.) into useful work, an effective
facsimile of telekinesis. Of course, it didn't always work. Gathering ambient
energy was draining, as well as being dependent on the inverse square law,
so she couldn't just draw energy from the stars. Still, it had it's uses...
Despite her lack of mentalic ability, she was able to converse with those
so inclined. All it took was an intense concentration on the individual.
With that, she opened communications with the one called Stan.

A few hours pass while passed out onto the floor, Duker i awaken
by Screwloose who had the ships doctor with her. Screwloose: "Give him
the hypospray." *Phssst* "There he is commming to." Duker: " Ohh man what
a headache...HEY!!, Why aren't you on the Renegade, Screwloose!?" Screwloose:
"Sir, the Renegade was hijacked by Leroy. He got both of our ships." Instantly
sober, Duker springs to his feet with such rage that he Picked up the old
rug, the one TDK ruined so long back, and tore it in two. "AAARRRGGGHHHH!!!"
Everybody turns their attention toward Duker in shock from the loud scream.
Duker: "How did he do that? "Damn the bloodwine." Duker turns toward the
wall and starts to think. After a couple of minutes, Duker turns around
with his face as bright as a light bulb. Duker:"I got it!!!" Without explanation,
Duker orders his crew aboard TDK's ship. Walking swiftly to the door, Duker
grabs TDK by the arm he just put back on and drug him with. "I need to
use your ship, TDK. We need the cloak. TDK:" Uhh..what??? Let go of me...what
are you doing with my..." Duker:" No time to explain, come on. As soon
as everyone is onboard, the ship takes off into space and Duker sits down
with TDK and tells him his plan. There was nothing TDK could do to stop
this because he was too drunk and weak to fight it.
