After (thankfully) getting dismissed by Commander Duker, Mel went
down to the computer control room. Extending the slicer nanos from his
faux dead flesh, he proceeded to hack into the ships systems, downloading
all data in the computer, and subtly rewriting the codes in case things
were to go bad for him. Satisfied with the results, which included TDK's
log (what there was of it. Apparently Klingon's, alive or undead, are not
slaves to detail), Mel walked confidently, armed with the information he
would need to pull off his disguise and role as master of this vessel,
but disturbed that they were well inside of hostile territory. Getting
to the bridge, Duker looked at him 'Finally slept it off, I see. Well guess
what happened while you were out, sleeping beauty. You know the newcomers?
They're heading right for us.' 'This is bad,' Mel thought. 'Really bad.'

"MASTER TDK, WAKE UP!!!!!' TDK, sprawled on the lawn, suddenly sends
his fist crashing to the ground at the screaming bug next to his ear. Jumping
out of the way in the nick of time, a tiny chrome spider with orange markings
jumps into his ear and start whispering. "Master TDK! Your ship has been
stolen by Duker and a doppelganger. The doppelganger appears to be similar
in nature to the artificial nanite constructs of the Korvach of our own
time. Your skeleton crew is cooperating for now and spidernet reports the
ship is headed outsystem towards Empire space!! What do you want us to
do Master?"

After filling Mel's systems with terrabytes of scrambled Western
movies starring Clint Eastwood, the other spidernet members within the
control board exterminated the alien nanite incursion. Still waiting for
word from their Master, they watch the actions of the two hijackers...

As Elisia caught up with the ship Mel was on, some disturbing readings
began manifesting themselves on her sensors. As a science vessel, this
ship had twice the sensor range and accuracy of the warhorse corvette in
front of her, so she saw the signatures of the Imperial vessels heading
for them, despite their retreat. Hailing the ship, Elisia sent a high frequency
signal tracer that only Mel would be able to detect, being far above the
standard com parameters, telling him to get back to the Far Star. Chances
were, people had deduced the existense of a Doppelganger at the lounge.
It wouldn't take much more logic chopping to deduce who it was, either,
since it was obvious she had left alone. Hearing a noise, Elisia turned
around. A couple of the 'chrome spiders' were dissecting a control panel,
trying to understand it's advanced circuitry. Upset, she fried both their
electronic brains with a bit of transduced energy, causing the interior
lights to flicker a bit. 'Nasty little buggers.' she thought, as she walked
over and crunched them for good measure. Setting the internal sensors to
sweep for more of them, she opened a real channel to speak to the commander
of the Klingon ship before the Imperials arrived...

'There ain't room in this town for the both of us...' Mel didn't
understand. He was spouting nonsense out of some corner of his mind he
couldn't access. Power spike from the interface? Exotic radiation exposure?
He couldn't fathom the error. Soon, he would do this in front of one of
the crew and they would know something was up...

"Sir, we are gaining on the stolen vessel and are about to send
the disable code. Rear guard reports two ships, one resembing a Klingon
Bird of Prey and another of unknown classification, following as well.
Tactical believes this is a trap. Recomendations?" - The Vulcan officer
at Ops reports to the Fleet Admiral. Pondering for a moment, the Vulcan
Admiral commands the 3 ships in rear guard to engage and hold the two vessels
following them, while sending the fastest ship to gain on their stolen
vessel. Once it is within range, the transmitted code will disable all
its systems preperatory to recapture. Far ahead, yet closing at phenomenal
speed, was the Imperial Fleet.

Watching the events from the Renegade's sensors patched through
the remote relay, Leroy is suddenly cut off from contact as the Renegade
receives the Vulcan High Command's to secret disable code hardwired into
their systems. "Almost perfect" he tells himself. Now out of the loop,
he turns back to his recent experiments, putting his newly acquired tech
from the Renegade in stasis for later study. On the table before him lies
a dissected Woodlouse corpse from the Neptune engagement during the Empire
war. Carefully, he cuts the carapace open with a whirring saw, then extracts
tissue samples. On a nearby table, a mutalisk who had already undergone
the same disection procedure slowly simmers at the stove. Dinner should
be ready by the time Leroy finishes his tests on the Woodlouse specimen...

...No one hears much from Darva at the party, which is quite understandable,
as booze tends to be a very bad thing for agents of a very secrative organization.
He is instead, off in Lurkerspace, trying to talk another Lurker out of
relinquishing control of his ship... Damnit! The council gave me access
to this ship for the duration of my mission! "It's been revoked sir, You're
being too flagrant in breaking the rules" Rules... rules don't mean jack
when all posterlife could be obliterated in one moment!! "Never-the-less,
I have my orders." ...Darva grins to himself, fiddling with the device
in his pocket he used on Dark Commie earlier, as the other Lurker mentions
his orders, they are instantly wiped from his mind... And those are? "Uhm...
Uhm... I don't know..." So there's no reason I can't have my ship back
right now is there? "I guess not..." ... the other lurker leaves through
an airlock, getting in his little fighter, and heading off for points unknown.
The chunk of material that was at one time a fake overlord approaches the
larger mass of his origonal ship, and joins back together. Now that Darva
has all his systems working again, he begins to monitor Posterspace, tracking
the bits of his hull that stuck to TDK's BoP. At the same time, the computer
beeps. "Anomolus readings on last transferance between Lurker and Posterspace...
suggest study." Wha?? ...Darva turns, and starts pouring through the logs.
A look of shock on his face as he notes the strange additions to the field,
realizing that something traveled into Posterspace with him, but what?...

...As Darva sits there staring at the logs in slack jawed suprise,
the computer beeps again... "Warning, Hull penetration being attempted
by unknown lifeform. Suggested action, reentry to Posterspace, depressurization
may cause lifeform to explode." ...Darva absently nods his approval for
the computer to carry out the course of action, and the Lurkership slowly
rematerializes in the real universe...

As the Renegade stops dead in space, the Vulcan fast scout approaches
warily. All of the sudden, appearing in out of nowhere, an Imperial fast
reaction taskforce drops out of hyperspace and rapidly moves to grab the
disabled Vulcan ship in a network of tractor beams. The main Vulcan fleet,
arriving at warp, are faced with a Mexican standoff...
