The Lurker Council, meanwhile, was sitting in the Far Star's main reception area. A holonet sat in the middle of the room, displaying what Mel and Elisia had in mind for them. 'Basically, what we've found is that Lurkerspace is more... fundamental than Posterspace. Changes here will affect the conditions of the other. Also, as Lurkerspace is mostly empty, the field equations for it condense down very nicely. Our plan is to, via our Inflationary drive, to generate a change in the basic structure of this space time continuum. It is minor, and will not affect anything within the universe, however, it will cause the basic quantum resonance frequency of all matter here to reassign itself to a completely random value. As a result, Infinitech will lose it's lock on our universe, preventing it from viewing or transferring

This Cyborg Stan person was good. Real good. In the confusion, Ash'is manages to pilot a stolen transport up to his family's residence. Leaping out with a small band of Returners that he brought with him, he reactivates the security system. While his squad moves down the hallways, he keys in a message. Hopefully, this will alert the rest. Hefting his (only somewhat illegal) plasma assualt weapon, he takes off.

The fleet raced through the depths of space, heading for Xanarius Prime. Dropping into normal space at the edge of the system, they prepared to make their presence known.

Alarms went off on the Xanarius homeworld. 50 ships had entered the system. Big, ugly green ships covered with strange writing. The Woodlice watching the scanners wasted no time in calling a general alert.

Meanwhile, back in Sol system the Mobile Starbase was ready to leave. Admiral Skarak's forces also prepared to depart, leaving 3 Light Cruisers in the system, under the command of Captain Vorgen. Captain S'Trerak, commanding the Battlecruiser _Balanced_Equation_, was also instructed to remain in the area.

Ed Jensen walked onto the bridge of the captured Xanarious ship chewing a KFC drumstick he'd stolen from the cargo hold, and fell over. This was nothing to do with being badly-coordinated, ill, weak, drunk or drugged, but Gaazkhi had spread so many cables across the floor of the area that it was almost impossible not to. "Turn that music down!",he shouts. "And what's the bug doing on-screen?", he says, pointing at the main bank of screens which have lit up with a very annoyed Field Marshall Woodlouse's face. "Talking gibberish again", came the reply. "I can't figure out their language at all, even when I can hear them talk". "Hmm", came the voice of Ne'eg SkiWaa, walking onto the bridge in the middle of the conversation. After contact was made with the Transport, they'd flown him across in a Suit, leaving 1st Lieutenant Gaakhin (Gachin) Noffir in command of the ship while SkiWaa and chief Tech officer N'affaritt Gorghoi worked out a way to modify one of the airlocks or hangar bays to fit the WolfHound inside so she could be repaired more easily. Since the ship had not been completely explored yet, they were still trying to find the best possible place. Meanwhile, Gaazkhi tried to make sense of the ship's computer control system and any communications which periodcally came in.

Meanwhile, in 'her' cell, she was reading a rather good book she had brought with her and waiting for something to happen...

*Tristan got over his momentary surprise over seeing someone just appear in his cell* Yes, I was wondering when you guys were gonna show up. But before I go meet the council, you might want to wait until I've officially been released. The Imps didn't exactly appreciate my jailbreak attempt and probably would not like a second attempt, especially since the only way to guarantee my freedom was to join their ranks until I find a way out of this universe and back into my own. Besides, I'd rather not do anything so formal looking and smelling the way I do in this outfit. *The Lurker sniffs the air in the cell. Lurk.Op.: "Yes, I see. As soon as you are released and given a decent change of clothes we will contact you again." With that the Lurker Operative dissapeared just as quickly as he came. Tristan then turns to the orange spider beside him on the bench.* And believe it or not, I STILL can't smell anything on this armor. My sense of smell just doesn't ever work right.

On the Xanarius homeworld: "omigod! It's the Ur-Quan!" "Let's not panic, let's find out what they want..." "But what if they... they.. ", "OK, then we'll panic!"
