--------UPDATE 22 May 2000------

Ok,I know it has been a long time since I have done an update. I appologize, I have had a couple of my regular viewers point out that it has been a while since I updated and the only excuse I have is that I have been working two jobs since this winter and have not really been working on the car much this year. I think I was at a critical point where I was either going to continue the project or sell it off. I made the right choice and decided to keep it! Now that I have made that decision I have also decided that I will dedicate one day a week (probably Sunday)and get as much done as possible. This Sunday I jumped back in and worked the passenger side quarter panel I have it almost completely finished. My goal is still to have the Car ready for paint in the near future. We shall see. For those who have been following my story keep the faith.

Wedensday 26 January 2000 Well I have not posted an update in a while and the reason has been a combination of it has been too cold here most days to work on the Charger outdoors (no Damn Garage) and the fact that I picked up an evening time extra job (help finance the Charger project)so I have lost a lot of PC time as well. I hope that as this winter turns to spring I will be getting a lot more done on the car. I have a goal of getting it in to the paintshop in early spring so that I can start the re-asembly of the interior and hopefully make it into Hot Rod Power Tour West or at least a part of it. I doubt the car will be completed, completed but it should be road worthy. Well I am out for now but will try once again to be more dilligent with my updates.

Wedensday the 23rd of November 1999 Well as promissed the new pictures are posted and I have posted an update to my journal area. I forgot my reciepts this morning so you will have to wait a little longer to see what the total cash influx has been so far. Well I have to actually get to work so later all and have a happy Turkey Day.

Monday the 21st of November 1999 Ok, Long time no update I know... What kind of web master am I? Well I have been a very busy one that is for sure. I have been traveling alot with work and busting my ass working on the Charger whenever I can. I am currently posting this update from Ft. Bragg, NC. Over this last week before I departed on this trip I was able to cut out my old quarters and get the new ones welded in!!!!!!!!! Woooo HOoooo for me!!!! And I was able to get it done just in time as my wife told me that it snowed like a foot today. I have about 15 pictures of the process which I will post over the thanksgiving weekend as my thanks giving tribute. I will also be getting to a long needed update to my Journal and cost chart. I have been pretty negligent lately and hope to correct that problem in the near future. Thanks for sticking with me my friends and following this wonderful process of restification. Well on a final note I have had one of my fellow Moparites who corresponds with me send in a picture of his 74 Charger. You can see Jims fine looking car in My new "My Friends Mopars" Page. Well Peace and Happy Holidays to yah!

This page was designed to document the Restification of my 1974 Dodge Charger SE. Some of you may be asking yourself what is a Restification. Well a restification in my mind means returning a car to a better than new state making changes to the original without taking away from the class and style of the car. This can cover upgrades to the power train, suspension, and interior. In other words I plan on making my Charger into a car that I want.

I plan on covering every aspect of my restification here and will try and document each of the steps I take with a Digital Camera so you can see the process in living color, you can see my pictures here. I will also keep a written journal of all of my adventures/mis-adventures here. I also plan on documenting every cost down to the cent, you can see those figures here. I figure if Car Craft Magazine can do that why can't I? My primary goal right now is to get the car into good enough condition to take it on the Hot Rod Power Tour 2000. A big factor that will assist me in meeting my goal will be my membership with the Hot Rod Power Club. I am not saying by any means that I will have completed the project by then I just plan on having the car running good enough to survive the tour. Anything else is gravy as they say.

This page will also have a links page to go to some of the sites that I have received some excellent help and ideas from as well as a Photo page which will have some decent Mopar pictures of the 3rd Generation Charger and maybe some other pictures as well. If you would like your Mopar pictures posted just e-mail me a short description of your car with a picture attached and I will happily post it. Now on to the good stuff.

I have also found some information (mostly pictures) of the new Charger Concept Car which you can find by following the link. I think that if Dodge went forward with production of this car it could put a serious hurt on the Chevy and Ford guys.
