Mick McCarthy and Alan Long came up from Cork on the 22 of Jan
for the first of what we all hope to be, many visits.
We sat around talking about cams, swapping info, and watching
videos of Galway 97, 98 & 99 Rallies!
Watching the locals stare in jealousy at the monster AE101 was a real bonus!!
Mick McCarthys AE101 GTi Corolla
Sleek lines, 20 valves, VVt-i, 160bhp, and a 7,750rpm limiter
Whoooaaa Mama!
Showoff / Twin tailpiped backbox is standard / Nice TRD badges, hard to buy in
Interior is very comforatable, coupled with the smooth ride and
power from that 4AGE-20v powerplant, this car is a dream to drive.
(so im told)
Silly dog, dont you know that your bark is no match for
the bark off the AE101 GTi's Twin exhaust!!!!
Alan Longs KP61-5k Starlet
Ive still to get a "spin" in this mint starlet. The guys tell me
its an abseloute rocket! Well with 1500cc in what used to be a 1-1.3L
its hardly gonna crawl is it! The front spoiler went missing after some
"dori-dori" went amiss. You know the story, goes to show the poke in this
little animal, 'specially if it can make those lovely 7" 4-spoke revolutions spin like that!
Tom Rubys Kp-61 Jap import starlet! The imports have the 4k-U engine
Which reportedly outputs up to 16 bhp more thatn stock 4ks! Rust Free!
The newly purchased KP61, jap imported 4k-EFi starlet!
Theres a nice catch for you, rare enough!
