Zach's CJ7


This is a picture of my 1982 CJ-7 2 days after it came back from the paint booth. It looked like this for about two months, then stuff got MUDDY!!!

This is what my jeep has now:

    • I purchased it in June of 1997. I've been slowly doing work on it ever since. All the work(except painting) was done by me in our small shop at home (I like to do my own work). Body was a major concern when I decided to get it. The metal was rusted and bulging in front and behind the doors and it had the usual fenderwell rust spots. You could also see the road through the rear floor. After welding alot of sheet metal in and a bit of smoothing over it was taken to the body shop fo final smoothing and paint. Here are some pics of it on its way to the body shop.

  • Rebuilding transmission: November '98 (I'll have pictures soon.)
  • New exhaust manifold: November '98
  • Rebuilding front end: December '98 (I'll post pics of this too.)
