Messerschmitt BF 109

The ME bf 109 was the spitfire's greatest opponent in the battle for air superiority in World War two.
It was the standard fighter of the Luftwaffe and could outmaneuver any fighter of its time, except for the Spitfire.
The Daimler-Benz engine was liquid-cooled and was very good for its time. It allowed the aircraft to make negative G-turns that the spitfire and hurricane couldn' t do without getting an engine stall. The 109 was built in many models and the most successful were: Me bf 109-E (Emil), F (Franz), G (Gustav) and K (Kurfurst).
