F-14 Tomcat
The Tomcat stands for raw power, speed and awesome firepower. Its job is to keep enemies from the carrier and to protect the fleet. The F-14 is a carrier-based interceptor with a very advanced radar system.

It can engage up to 6 targets at the same time, the same as three F-18 Hornets. It cooperates with "the eye of the fleet" an E-2 Hawkeye, to spot enemy aircrafts.
The Tomcat is a twoseater-aircraft. In the back seats is the Radar Intelligence Officer or RIO. He controls the radar and does the navigation. The F-14 arsenal includes the AIM-54C Phoenix missile. The Phoenix weighs nearly 1000 lb and is the world's heaviest, most expensive and longest ranging.
The F-14 has a swing-wing which allows the pilot have better control in both low and high speeds.
