"MOPAR TWO YA?"

Best viewed at 800x600

Here's some background on the Satellite. It's a 1973 Plymouth Satellite Sebring. The original color is Metallic Silver with a Black vinyl top and Black interior. The drivetrain is also the original 318, 2bbl, with a 904 Automatic trannsmission. It has factory Air Conditioning rather than Dealer Air (there is a difference). My mother purchased the car in '93 from a mechanic friend for $500.00. It was completely original. Pretty much all it needed was a new paint job, some tires, and new exhaust. She spent a small fortune on the paint job and a new vinyl top. She signed it over to me in '97. So far the only changes I've made to it are small and cosmetic. (slotted mags, window tint, air shocks, and a Blaupunkt stereo with amp and pioneer speakers). I have all four original hubcaps and wheels in storage. Below are some updates on the car.

Updates:

Spring '93: The beginning.

Summer '93: New paint and vinyl top.

Spring '97: Beginning to notice paint bubbles around the vinyl top. Apparently the metal is rusting under the paint. Must have been a bad prep. You wouldn't expect that for a $1200.00 paint job huh?.

Summer '97: Mom signs the car over to me.

Fall '97: Installed slotted mag wheels, window tint, air shocks.

8-98: New headliner installed and front seat reupholstered by Jim's Auto Trim.

7-2000: Hiding in the alley after I smoked a Firebird down mainstreet.
