Another reason for the popularity of this car, besides its preformace, is the ease at which you can upgrade and customize the Eclipse. You can have a near-stock looking vehicle, and yet have over 300 hp under the hood. Or you can install upgrade body panels, spoilers and add-ons. You want colors? No problem. Many manufacturers have parts available that not only upgrade performance, but make for a more colorful ride.

By far, my favorite high preformance upgrades are made by HKS. Although they don't make everything to make your Eclipse go zoom, they have a pretty good line-up to choose from. Here is a chart of the different stages your eclipse can be modified to using HKS parts. Although a bit pricy, the performance and quality you get is worth it.
