First my thoughts on the full fairing and its installation:

The fairing was in excellent shape when it arrived in the mail and didn't need much prep work before it was painted. It was kind of a pain getting everything exactly lined up, but nothing I wouldn't do again. One word of advice, I suggest you mount the headlight without drilling the holes in the brackets first, then mount the entire fairing around it to insure you have the headlight centered just right. Mark the headlight bracket while everything is assembled then remove the fairing and drill headlight mounting brackets.
