Duwamish Books, Phase 4 Setup and Source Code Files

Note We have posted an update to the sample that fixes several bugs. For those of you who have already downloaded the sample, you need only download the much smaller service pack. See the download descriptions below for more information.
We have discovered a bug in Service Pack 1 that occurs when Web components are installed on Windows NT 4.0, SP5 or SP6. This error does not occur when the Web components are installed on Windows NT4.0, SP4 or on Windows 2000. Read about known issues 
with Duwamish Books, Phase 4 for more information.
Duwamish Books is an unsupported MSDN sample application. You can send us mail and we'll respond to what we can. However, please remember that this is only a sample—Microsoft technical support is not prepared to answer questions about Duwamish Books.
The MSDN Duwamish Books sample download
The downloadable .exe file will place all the Duwamish Books, Phase 4 setup files in the directory location of your choice. The setup.exe allows you to set up the Duwamish Books sample on a single computer, or distributed across several computers. The Setup program offers you the choice of installing one of the many components of this sample. It also allows you to copy the SQL database setup scripts or the project source code to your local drive. After successfully completing any of these options, you must rerun the setup.exe to choose another option. Be sure to run Setup on the computer you wish to install a component on or copy files to.
Before you attempt to set up and deploy the sample, be sure to read the setup and "smoke testing" instructions.
You have the following three download options.
- The Duwamish Books sample, including MDAC 2.1: If you are unsure whether the computers you will install Duwamish Books on have MDAC 2.1, we suggest you download this larger file.
- The Duwamish Books sample, not including MDAC 2.1: If you are sure that all the computers you will install Duwamish Books on have MDAC 2.1 installed, you should download the smaller of the two files.
- Service Pack 1 for the Duwamish Books sample: This download is a patch for versions of Phase 4 downloaded prior to 10/1/99. If you have never downloaded the sample before you do not need to download this patch—all the fixes have also been made to the full sample downloads.
