              Always a tough competitor, Mark Skaife joins the Mobile Holden Racing Team as a
              two times Bathurst winner And two times Australian Touring Car Champion.

              At just 30 years of age, Skaife is a relative youngster in the Australian touring car ranks, but has been racing both
              here and overseas for more than a decade.

              Skaife has just recently completed a successful Sportscar race debut at Le Mans 24 hours race, has represented
              his country in the Touring Car World Cup in Monza, Italy in 1994 and competed favourably in feeder category for
              Formula One, International Formula 3000 in France in 1992.

              The goal for Mark Skaife in 1997 is victory in the endurance series: a second Sandown 500 title and a trifecta at
              Bathurst - the 30 year old race ace has his sights set firmly on winning the Australian 1000 Classic at Mount
              Panorama on October 19th.
