I am an ARCHITECT and here are some of my designs.

MC's interpretation of my design.

One of my office's client is a local insurance firm and we have done designs for their various offices nationwide.

At left shows initial study of one of their building (with inputs from Architect M. CANELA). The design was too modern in color scheme though and it almost cost us the client. (sorry MC) This is one of the early works of MC using 3D graphics as client presentation tool. She was very much ahead of her time in the field of computer graphics.

The I.L. TACLOBAN Building

This was the approved design...(shown at right)

The I.L. TACLOBAN CITY Building which incorporated Spanish Colonial Period design. White was used as a neutral color, easily blending with the environment. The building was inaugurated in 1993.

The I.L. LUCENA Building

This is the I.L. LUCENA CITY Building (right in the hometown of MC). Despite the small size (300 sq.m.) and narrow lot, the building stood out with the use of bricks and brick-colored precast concrete mouldings. All the available space was put into use with minimal wastage. I got the design inspiration from my earlier experience with Fort Ilocandia Resort Hotel. The building was finished in 1996.

The I.L. SANTIAGO CITY Building

This is the latest I.L. Building in SANTIAGO CITY, ISABELA. Located along the Maharlika Highway, the edifice retains the initial design concept of the Tacloban building. The building which is now a landmark in the city was inaugurated last year.

A Residential Project.

This is one of the residential project I did for the office. The house is located at the Valle Verde Subdivision. It was done Neo-Classic form and painted in beige and other earth colors.

As you can see, I have come to master Neo-Classic designs not by choice but by experience. I find it easier now to mass structures in Colonial than modern themes. I guess you simply learn it by ear.

BUTOY's design.

My favorite architect is FRANK O. GEHRY. His bold designs defy all norms of forms and shapes. A real genius and I can compare him with another genius, the Spanish architect GAUDI.

My favorite local designer is my friend BUTOY ROGADO . His consistent use of bold colors and geometric shapes make his structures stand out.
