These are some pics of my two rotaries , well , one is just a 12A Jap import motor . I bought the engine a few months before I bought the car planning to rebuild and port the motor but my plans changed soon after I bought the RX7 . Looks like the rebuild ( If ever done ) to the engine will have to wait a bit longer because the RX7 is more important at the moment . When I do finish building the engine it will either be fitted the RX7 or something else I might buy . Or I might sell the engine to someone . The Rx7 is an 1981 model , powered by a 12A Mild port with a 5 speed manual gearbox . The car is in excellent condition as you can see , with no damage to it whatsoever . The car had the pollution gear removed to help with the performance and an aftermarket exhaust fitted . These are the exact specifications of the exhaust system : Twin 2 inch primaries collecting into a single 2.5 inch half way along the car then into a single hot-dog before the diff and a single muffler at the rear of the car then out through a 3 inch dumper tip . The end result is a noisy 12A mild port . These are the only modifications done to the car so far but I do have some interesting plans for it . I plan to either fit a 12A bridge port with a weber carb or an Intercooled Extend port 12A Turbo motor , maybe even a 13B turbo . I might even consider peripheral porting my engine , if I decide for a PP then watch out ! But for the mean time , the 12A Mild port that I have in the car has a good level of performance . |
