Jungle Fever Racing - The presentation

BERCY, FRANCE - 12 July 1997

Recently some racing teams have presented their new car for the season 1997-1998. Today the presentation of Jungle Fever Racing, which is part of The Fever Racing Organisation, took place in Bercy. The team kept every detail concerning the presentation secret. Whoever asked the management of the team what was going to happen at the presentation would only get a big smile and a line like...

'I cannot tell you anything about it, but I can promise you that it will be BIG!'

Early in the afternoon the first guests arrived. Nobody really knew what they could expect. Before the actual presentation took place the guests had time to have a little drink and eat some snacks. At 8 o'clock exactly the lights went dim and a spot was aimed at the podium. Everybody went quiet, when a voice started to introduce the presentators of the night...

...tonight is a special night for The Fever Racing Organisation, since this is the second season for Jungle Fever Racing and the first for a completely new team called Tropic Fever Racing. Because the organisation now consists of two teams, it would be more appropriate to have a worldfamous duo do the presentation. The team wanted to have a duo that would represent the main goal of the organisation... to have fun! When you think of these things, worldfamous and fun, you can only think of one duo. Please welcome straight from the Sesame Street...
Bert and Ernie...

At that moment the duo stepped onto the stage and gave a great show. During that show they told everybody something about the history of the team, the car and something about the drivers. The people were really having a good time watching their childhood heros at work. Then, at a certain moment, the moment everybody was waiting for arrived. Bert and Ernie stepped to the center of the stage and built up the suspense a bit...

...Now we want to have everyone's full attention, because this is where you actually came here for...
The new car of Jungle Fever Racing!

From that moment the duo moved from the stage and the lights went out... Everybody was holding their breath as the curtain opened. All they could see at that time was a dark stage. The music started and a couple of spotlights started 'dancing' across the stage. At the end of the music all the lights were aimed at the car and the audience was able to take a good look at the new design. At that time Bert and Ernie came back onto the stage and told everybody that they would now have the opportunity to come to the stage and talk to the members of the team and take a real close look at the car.

The rest of the evening was one big party. People were talking to the management and the drivers. A lot of pictures were taken from the car and from the two presentators, who also had to give lots of interviews and place autographs.
