Due to numerous requests (mainly from Ben and Dino) I have been forced to show the real design team for this website - and all the other websites we have designed.

Who are Ben and Dino?
WebMaster Ben and Web Designer Dino©

Ben: An 8 inch tall bear from Macclesfield in Cheshire, England. He is a widely travelled bear throughout the UK and Europe with trips to Mauritius and Crete as his favourite international destinations. After many years of practice he is now an adept programmer and THE MOST ACE WEBMASTER around.    (TimH: That's what he told me to say.)

Dino: A 12 inch long (and very battered) dinosaur who also comes from Macclesfield in Cheshire, England. He has travelled almost everywhere that Ben has but is still waiting to go to the Netherlands so he can be equal with Ben. After much study (he is several million years old) he has developed a large portfolio of art and design that now makes him THE MOST ACE WEB DESIGNER around.   (TimH: Yes! - That's what he told me to say.)

Tim Hynes: A large human who has far too many years! (Ben: He's almost as many as Dino.) Despite many years of study in the fields of electronics, computing, programming and graphic design he's still pretty useless. To make him happy we let him put his name on the websites we design and he's quite a useful gopher.   (Dino: Actually he's a useless gopher but we had to say something nice.)

OK HERE THEY ARE ...

First Make sure that you plan what you are going to do, when you will do it and how you will split the work. Take time to consider the graphics you will need and then create or find them.

Check all your hardware is fully working and repair or upgrade as necessary.

Designing Over - Ben now starts coding the site© Ben discussing minor design changes with Dino©
Do the coding and make sure to save regularly - with frequent backups! - test everything again and again and ...
Keep in touch with your customer and co-workers as often as you can. This will avoid misunderstanding and keep everyone aware of what's happening.

Make sure you take plenty of breaks to keep your mind fresh so you can get a better result in a shorter time - without panics or headaches!.
Show off your creations - after all that hard work you should consider applying for awards.
Ben and Dino reading some messages they've received (actually they were for Tim but they pinched them)© Ben and Dino admiring some of the excellent mail 'they' have received.©
Be ready to reply to any messages you get. People are often kind enough to send compliments or suggestions - thank them and be willing to send a note when you see something you like.
Keep track of the awards and messages you get - don't abuse the senders by adding them to mailing lists or sending messages they haven't asked for.

Watching for the mailman

Here are Ben and Dino watching for the mailman - unfortunately they haven't worked out what E-mail works like and therefore don't send any except for writing notes onto sweet wrappers and posting them through the letterbox ... addressed to each other of course :]
