GM Service Parts Operations, with it?s GM Goodwrench brand has been involved with NASCAR since 1985 and is one of the longest running sponsor relationships in the sport. In 1988, Richard Childress Racing (RCR) joined GM Goodwrench to establish the famous black No. 3 GM Goodwrench Chevrolet. The partnership of GM Goodwrench, Richard Childress and Dale Earnhardt is one of the most well known relationships in the sport of NASCAR.

Coming into the new millenium, GM Goodwrench Service Plus has announced the renewal of their contract with Richard Childress Racing for another three years. This continued agreement will span through the year 2003 and confidently brings additional success to the RCR team. The GM Goodwrench Service Plus team has dominated for over a decade, competing in 367 races, taking 43 wins and over $29,006,949 in winnings on the Winston Cup Series since their union in 1988.
