An alternate ending

This story starts from the moment the monster asks Frankenstein to create a female of his kind....

Nighttime approaches. Victor goes to his room and gets ready for sleep. At first he sits on his bed and gazes outside. The sight of the shining stars that surround him captivates him. At the same time, a few birds are singing in a delicate tone, one that sounds like a lullaby. Soon, this remarkable sound puts Victor to sleep. He dreams about Elizabeth and himself getting married and spending a fun-filled life with one another and a life without worries. As Victor's, dream gets more exciting, the alarm rings and he wakes up to find that his fantasy is not reality. Victor realizes that his life will never be worthwhile with the creature in his life. He thinks that he may have to kill the creature if his life is to have purpose. Suddenly someone knocks on the door.

As Victor opens the door, the creature comes rushing in. Victor wonders what the concern of the creature might be and the creature starts to talk. The being tells Frankenstein that ever since he was created, life has been a disaster. The creature says that it tried to find a friend and since Victor abandoned it, he had to live on the streets and from this experience learned that people find him repulsive and a threat to society. Therefore, the monster tells Frankenstein that he has a wish. He wants Victor to create a female companion for him that can love him for who he is inside and care for him. Moreover, the creature wants Victor to create this woman to look as ugly as himself so that he does not feel threatened when he talks to her and so that beauty will not be a barrier for their love for one another. When Victor hears this, he thinks that this is the solution to all his problems. Furthermore, Victor believes that with the making of this female monster, both creatures will fall in love and leave Victor alone while they enjoy their life with one another.

As days go by, the creation of the female creature takes place. As promised, the creature that steps out of the chamber is just as ugly as the male creature. She is even a little taller than the male monster. Her hands are enormous, her teeth are large, crooked and yellow and her voice is deep and intimidating. As Frankenstein sees this, he is happy because he has fulfilled the wishes that have been asked of him. The female asks who Victor is and why he has created her. Victor thoroughly explains that he is her creator and that he already created a male companion for her that is waiting for her arrival. The female is still unsure as to why the male monster is waiting for her and Victor explains that the male was very unsuccessful in finding peace and happiness because of his horrifying looks. With this news, the female quickly confronts the male creature and reprimands him for his selfish attitude. She is practically in tears knowing that she was created for the wishes of one creature. Meanwhile, the male urges the female to forgive him and to understand his reasoning for his actions. Unfortunately, the female does not grant forgiveness to the male and she decides to explore the outdoors and see what people are really like rather than listen to the words of the male.

The female decides that she must greet humans with a kind nature and try to please them with her warm personality. She decides that she should meet some humans, she sees a human approaching and tries to greet him. The human shrieks and runs away. The female wonders in bewilderment but predicts that this incident happened by mistake.  As the monster walks around, she notices how people stare at her while at the same time grabbing their children and running away. At this moment, she thinks that perhaps the male creature was right about his outlook on people. The female realizes that the male creature was right and that she should apologize to him.

She quickly hurries to meet the male monster. The female explains that although she is unhappy about the male's reasoning for having her created, she now realizes that her life on earth is meant to be only with him. Both of them agree that humans will never accept them and that they are the right couple for each other. Both creatures decide that even though humans may not treat them as individuals, they themselves should love and care for each other and live life to its fullest.

After many years, nature allows these monsters to have children, just like ordinary humans have children. As in the circumstances, these children are atrociously ugly and contain many similar features to those of their parents. As time goes by, these children create more children and after many decades, the world has a higher percentage of monsters than humans and so now the monsters are the dominant ones in society. Once humans dominated the world and monsters were considered scary, but now any humans that are left are considered ugly and abnormal and feel out of place in society. Just as some believe that Adam and Eve are the creators of the human race, the two monsters became the creators of the monster race and even after they die, their legacy continues...
