This is how I will remember my dad.

He was always happiest out on the lake fishing somewhere and showing his catch of the day when he came home.

Hank and Daddy had a pretty good day, but I think Hank's just doesn't quite measure up. Hey, it's tough keeping up with the Jones's.

My mom says this is one of her favorite pictures. He's happy, holding his fish, smoking his cigar. It was a very good day.

Daddy loved taking the boat out on Cheney Res. and fish all day, or sometimes all night. He dreamt of getting a bigger boat after he retired.

A very nice striped bass.

Although this picture is several years old, it is a good one of him smiling. It was taken at my brother's (Charley II) birthday party at my grandma's house.

My brothers didn't have the monopoly on going fishing with my dad. He took me fishing with him before they were born.

I'm 32 years old now, but I can still remember and cherish those times when I was small, spending time with my dad.

The boys had their days, though. Little girls tend to grow up and lose interest in fishing. Luckily, my brothers were right behind me. This is Charley I and II having a day fishing in Arkansas.

My dad had a family before us. His brothers and sisters made up his family before Mom, my brothers and sister came along.

We even found a few pictures with their mom and dad.

My dad had lost his own mom and dad, and his two brothers. But his three sisters join him at a family reunion. His sisters survive him still today.

I made my dad a grandpa for the first time over 13 years ago. Not with just one, but twins!

I'm not sure how she managed it, but somehow, my mom got him in a tie and smiling at the same time. That's Trudy and me with them, and Charley II is on the way.

Nearly 30 years ago, before I made him a grandpa.

Jim and Alan, two of my cousins, also had the pleasure of sharing a few days out fishing with my dad.

I don't know exactly when this was taken. But maybe it was the first Thankgiving I spent with my dad.

This is the last family photo we have together. It was taken on Thanksgiving, 1997.

We were planning to be together on Thanksgiving this year, but we lost him 3 days before, on November 23, 1998.

This page is dedicated to my dad and published for all of his family and friends to come and visit now and then. Everyone who knew him knows that he would want us to be happy. This page is intended to remind of us happy times, not of his death.
