Meeting Steo at Pop2000

Ok, here it is...the most amazing day of my life............

This afternoon at POP 2000 in Birmingham Jayne & I met STEPHEN GATELY!!! - yes really we did it, we've met him at long last! it's been our dream for ages and finally it came true.

Firstly we found Steo (quite by chance) on the Birmingham Radio platform, he did a little interview and then came down to sign stuff, we got our cd's signed (he wrote "love Stephen x") and then we spotted his manager and he asked us to come backstage and meet Stephen?? OMG!! When we got there Stephen was just having some photo's taken and he was soooo close to us. Then Stephen's manager asked him to come meet us, which he did, we chatted a bit and he told us that his sister just had a baby girl yesterday. He was so sweet and nothing was too much trouble, he looked so lovely too and i couldn't take my eyes of his jade pendant!! Then he signed some more of our stuff (he wrote "lots of love Stephen x" this time!!), then he asked if we wanted a picture with him, so I was trying to take it for Janye, but my hands were shaking so much that his manager took my camera off me and told me to get in the picture too!!! and this is the best bit?.. Stephen held his arm out and put it around me while the picture was taken!!! Stephen touched me, i may never wash that top again!!!! We said thanks and then he had to go as he was due on stage soon. We raced around to the stage, but it was a while before he came on, so Jayne had to go to the toilet and almost bumped into him coming out of the gents!!! By the time he did come on stage, we had mananged to get ourselves to the front, so we had an excellent view and took lots of pictures, he sang: I Believe, New Beginning & Judgement Day, and did the most funky dancing i have ever seen! but the shock part was right at the end when Keith & Shane came out of the side and danced on stage with him!!! We were all screaming like fools!! Keith had been on stage while we were meeting Stephen, so we missed him, but we didn't know about Shane! At the end they were all laughing and waving and hugging, it was such a brilliant end to a perfect day, I'm sure we'll not forget it anytime soon!!!
