Stephen Gately's Underestimated Good luck to the lovely Pop Prince Stephen Gately who dropped by the other morning to give his new disc, Stay, a plug on the show.
Even though he has a hard job trying to get noticed over the Ronans and Robbies of the world, we had a very good reaction to playing the record on the radio (and it wasn't just Stephen's boyfriend who rang up).
Stephen doesn't think Ronan and the rest of the band will be doing any more Boyzone. Westlife seem to have taken their place in the pop market, and all the guys have other things on.
Let's hope Stephen can convince his record company to stick with him. Stay - out now - looks like entering the charts this Sunday (good luck mate).
If Stephen Gately does get dropped from his record label (which I hope doesn't happen) he would easily get a part in a West End show or get a gig running one of those karaoke bars in Amsterdam. At least he'd be close to the love of his life.
