The mighty Stephen Gately returns with news about his new single and Boyzone's tour plans, but will Ronan be joining them?

When are you going to have a new single out?

Stay is out in April. It's quite Backstreet-y and 'N Sync-y. It's going to be full-on with a dance routine, and there's a really good B-side, too.

That's a change of direction from I Believe. . .

Yes, I think the style of New Beginning and I Believe was a bit too old. I was a little disappointed with the last one, but this one's poppier.

What about Boyzone- any tour dates planned?

I'm there. I'd sign a contract tomorrow, I know the rest of the lads would too. I really, really, want to do it.

So what's the problem?

Ronan's doing really well for himself. Whether he needs to do it is one thing, whether he wants to is another, but I think he will. It'll be great to do Smash Hits as a group again.

Why has Shane been criticising Ronan in the papers recently?

I think he's hitting out because he's waiting on an answer from Ronan about doing the tour.

What else have you been doing?

I got my teeth fixed. I had a gap that looked terrible. It cost a lot but it was worth it.
