In All things

In all things, I know no worth,
I have no rest,
Not from my birth.
And then in the night,
Of my dreary days,
A shining star,
Comes from far away.

In the light of this star,
My cares shall vanish,
In the warmth of her rays,
My fears shall she banish.
For in all my days,
I have known few,
Who would sacrifice all,
To heal me anew.

  Of this star I dream,
Each night and day,
Till the day comes,
When meet her I may.
From far do I come,
Many miles do I cross,
To the star do I travel,
For without her I am lost.

  Lost on a dark sea,
With nothing to guide,
Without compass, nor chart,
Only my fears to hide.
For my guiding star,
Without thee I know,
I shall be gone from the world,
To vanish below.

  Into the night,
I come for thee,
To the Crystal Star,
For that which I need.
