Da Lian (Winter, 1998)

Da Lian lies at the corner of the San Dong Peninsula, north China. It is not only a beautiful city full of tourism resource, but also one of the 14 economic zones in China. The season I went to that city is winter, the cold climate took away most green color from it, but we still can find some remaining beauty from the cover of the gray skin.

The first deep impression to me when I arrived at this city is the general city layout and the foreign style constructions. Probably, it is the Russian style due to the history reason, I am not very sure.

You may have a close look by clicking on each photo to enlarge them. They were all taken when I was wandering through the streets in that city. I had not much time to get a thorough view at the city. But only that one day's free time was enough to impact my heart.

The photos below are also from some viewpoint of the city.

The landscape by the beach
The most famous traveling site in Da Lian is its beach. It is heard that ever summer vacation time, the beach is always filled with people from different places. (Perhaps this is a disaster. :-( You may not able to find a hotel to live, or feel very uncomfortable to stay with so many guys!)

Look below, the only thing I can show you is the frozen beach and also an empty beach, pooooooooooor!

There are also an aquarium and a birds' world just by the beach. The birds here seem to customed to the cold climate now.
