Hai Ning (Autumn, 1998)

Hai Ning is just a small city next to Hang Zhou, which is the capital of Zhe Jiang Province. It lies by the seaside, at the cross of Qian Tang Jiang River and the sea. Every this time of the year, the tide of Qian Tang Jiang River reaches its climax, great tide runs upstream from the end of this River. In fact this travel couldn't be regarded as an interesting one. No more beautiful scenary, on the other hand the weather is always rainy and cloudy. Anyway this travel is organized by my company, anything is free.:-)
In this picture you can see the tide coming from far away. Unfortunately the water level is not high this year. See, the tide looks like a line across the river. Refer to the following two photos, they will show you the instance the tide claps the shore.

Since Hai Ning locates at the cross of Qian Tang Jiang River and sea, it also faces the Hang Zhou Gulf. The following three photos show you one glance of it.
This wall has a long history, several hundred years ago in Ming Dynasty, this was the fortress to defend the invasion from those ugly Japanese. You see this sculpture is established to memorize the general during that war.
