Mistranslations

1. Rezo is Zelgadiss' grandfather OR great grandfather not AND. Oddly enough the german translation got it right and the English didn't.

2. When translating "One Winged Angel" they didn't account for the fact that English doesn't have verb tenses and Latin does, so the lines usually translated, "Come, come, oh come, do not let me die" are more like "I came, I came, I will come, you killed me I didn't die".

3. In the English Slayer TRY they cut out a pun when Alumace arrives in the dragon shrine. The word for alien is ikai and the word Gourry uses is cuttlefish, ika. That's why he has a cuttlefish.

4. In Slayers there seems to be some confusion over Zel's third part. He is not 1/3 masoku. When Rezo was explaining it in the Japanese version he used the English word for demon, although the translation is pretty much the same demons and masoku are not the same thing.
