DBZ 2
This show is centered around fight scenes with lots of screaming and flashing lights. The plot is somewhat lacking and they keep changing the past. IE first the Saiyan home world was destroyed by a comet then it was the planets guardian then it was Freezia. For some reason though it is kind of addictive.
GUNDAM WING 3
The exploits of five teenage soldiers and their mechs., set sometime in the future. The main characters consist of Heero Yui nicknamed suicide boy, completely dedicated as well as stoic and emotionally deprived. Duo Maxwell, the only pilot who regularly has facial expressions. Trowa Barton, another stoic who's good with animals. Quatre Rebabba Winner, apparently a blond Arab who can balance being a soldier with being a really nice guy. Wu fei Chang an arrogant sexist who complained about having weak opponents after blowing up a trainee barracks in the middle of the night. The main character who is not a pilot is Releena Peacecraft the pacifist princess. The plot goes in depth into the politics' of war. However by the end no one seems to know what they are fighting for. Trieze needs to be hit with a WW1 history book, war to end all wars my ass!
PETSHOP OF HORRORS 4
A spooky horror series about a petshop in Chinatown. The story focuses on the mysterious Count D and his contracts for bizarre pets. As you might suspect the contracts are almost certain to be broken resulting in the persons ironic death. Ironic because it has something to do with a wrong they have committed. The other main character is a police detective trying to prove the Count is behind the bizarre deaths without sounding crazy.
Most of the episodes are in the past tense. The show has a comedy element to it, the detective, especially if you are an American because the writer must have picked up American culture from Lethal Weapon movies.
SAILOR MOON Cut dubbed 1 Uncut subtitles 3
Underdressed schoolgirls use magic to stop the forces of evil. The fairy tale plat is a bit camp, but it's pretty good if you see the original versions. If you watch the dub they make Zoisite a girl, try to pass Michiru (Michelle) and Haruka (Amara) off as cousins, and cut out all the darker plotlines and pictures, including the scene where all the pretty soldiers were crucified!
SLAYERS 5!
A comedy action series in a dungeons and dragons setting. The series stars the fireball throwing sorceress Lina Inverse and her companions, the good hearted swordsman Gourry Gabriev, who makes rocks look smart, the depressive and serious shaman Zelgadis, and Amelia overenthusiastic the justice loving princess. In the second series they add the mysterious priest Xelloss and then Fillia the tea loving golden dragon is added in the third. This series rocks! Hilarious comedy with a serious plot.
The plot always begins slowly leaving time for character development, although the series always has an great climax at the end. The background is well thought out and someone with a good eye can pick out things that aren't explained until much later. The continuum never contradicts itself like in some many other series but the facts are added in in such a way that the realness of the background doesn't need explaining and doesn't interrupt the comedy.
SORCERER HUNTERS 3
Scantily clad women and pretty guys fighting evil sorcerers! If other series' have sexual innuendo this show is as blunt as beating someone to death with a dildo. No it is not pornography despite the best efforts of some of the main characters. Like Tenchi this show is more characterization then plot. The main characters being Carrot Glace the psychotic pervert who chases everything with a skirt and then is usually beaten up by them. His little brother Marron, probably the only sane character in the whole series, the magic user is probably the most powerful person in the party. Chocolate Misu the bondage queen who fights with a garrote and is always hitting on Carrot. Her younger sister Tira, who will in her disguise appear sweet and innocent but she fights with a whip and is not to be messed with, she is secretly in love with Carrot. Then there's Gataeu Mocha the brawn of the group, who happens to despise sorcerers. How's the dialogue? I don't know because I own the ^^$#@#$ English dubbed versions!
TENCHI 4
Tenchi, like allot of anime, focuses more on the characters than the plot. As such the three Tenchi series' have different background with the same characters.
The main characters are Tenchi, the gentle overly patient boy with amazing hidden powers, the space pirate Ryoko, who falls in love with Tenchi, Ryo-ohki, Ryoko's carrot loving cat-rabbit-spaceship, Ayeka the violent tempered but proper princess of Jurai who has also fallen in love with Tenchi, Sasami, Ayeka's cute hardworking little sister, Washu the best mad scientific genius in the universe, and Mihoshi the astonishingly incompetent galaxy police detective. Tenchi Universe and Tenchi in Tokyo add ion Kiyone, Mihoshi's intelligent and hardworking partner.
Tenchi Muyo- the original series has by far the most in depth plot of the others. This version should not be shown to small children however, the sexual innuendo reaches an all time high.
Tenchi Universe- A basic fairy tale storyline near the end, but the characterization is the best so far.
Tenchi in Tokyo- The funniest one. All the characters go even more psychotic, including the one that had some semblance of sanity in the other series' like Kiyone and Sasami.
