| Keep your hands
to yourself and be prepared to re-boot.This control will hog all
resources while attempting to Connect to a remote server
and can get cranky if it doesn't succeed. It may hang
your computer -- or worse. And nasty things can happen if
you try to do anything else while it's Connecting or
Transferring. So don't click on anything or hit any keys
while the control is active. And have 60 Sec worth of patience -- but not more. You're in trouble if it takes longer than 30 Sec. to Connect. After 60 Sec, you may or may not get an error message and be able to return to normal. If not, you may or may not be able to Alt-Ctrl-Del and End Task. If not, you'll have to hit the reset button. Sometimes the control will misbehave without forcing an immediate re-boot, but when this happens it usually cripples the browser (ie, IE). |
