How-to Page

I've been playing around on the Web for over a year now... It's exciting to see all the changes and improvements.

As with most things, there are many ways to get the job done. I've learned a lot by surfing, reading source code and copying what I like.

Design is so subjective. But that's what makes it a craft.

Please visit the HTML Writer's Guild. You will find a wealth of knowledge there. Also, I recommend Laura LeMay's book, "Teach Yourself Web Publishing with HTML 3.0".

Here's my offer to you... if you'd like me to do a graphic banner, animation or logo, fill out this form!

What I've done below is simply tell you about the tools I use to make this site.

 Happy coding and good luck!

    Graphics Programs

There are a lot of choices these days. Here's mine.

Paint Shop Pro is a super program with all the bells and whistles. It's shareware and you can register it for only $69.00!

I recently got the LE version of Adobe Photoshop. It's easy to see why it is definately the best product out there... the full version, that is... got an extra $700.00?

    Video Camera

    Hitachi Video Camera

    • Hitachi VM-H100LA Hi8 Video Camcorder

It's analog, but the features ensure I'll be using it for many years to come. The lens are detachable and they're waterproof up to a meter. You can also use it like a video "walkman" when you travel.

    Frame Grabber

Here's an inexpensive way to get video images into the graphics format of the web. The quality is high, making it an excellent choice!

    HTML Editors

Learning HTML can be a daunting task... but Netscape Gold is by far the easiest "what-you-see is what-you-get" editor for Windows 95. You can download it and try it out for free.

I just bought Adobe... I'll review it later.
