About Me

So you want to know some stuff about me? Yes I know you do. Thats why you are reading
this. =P  Well I am Jatt Punjabi, came from Punjab to California when I was 9 yrs. old.
Then after one year of having fun in California I finally began John Muir Middle School.
Starting of 6th Grade Middle School was pretty boring since I didn't knew anyone in my school.
But there was this class E.S.L, that class was for everyone who just came from another
country.  I made lots of friends there, but they didn't know too much english so we 
communicated mostly by hand gestures hehehe =P I got transfered to regular english
class after 6th Grade.  It was pretty fun too because the teacher used to give us
these little tickets to the person that was doing his/her work.  I used to get lots
of tickets.  Then she would bring lots of candies and other neat stuff to class for us.
We used to bid on the stuff that she wanted to give away, the highest bidder got the 
prize.  That class was Fun!  Teachers used to tell us how hard the High School is,
and how hard we have to study in High School.  We all used to be scared to go to High
School, but we were ready to face it.  The Days went by, and it was time to graduate
Middle School, and go to High School!!  I went to my Graduation Ceremony at Middle School,
and unfortunately, none of my family came to see me graduate.  I was still happy that
finally I am coming closer to end my studies!
looking for my classes.  I couldn't find my first period class! The school was sooo
big! By some help of asking around I finally found my first class.  In 9th Grade
my favorite class was P.E.! I just loved playing all the sports. It was like a 
hang out place because it was not like the classrooms where we had to sit and not talk.
In this class all we did was shouting and talking and playing!  After like two weeks 
of high school me and my friends decided to practice break dancing and have battles
with other school.  We all began practicing at lunch time in our School Gym and
after school at my friend's house.  We started gettin better and better after all
the practice!  So one day we decided to battle a Middle school.  After class everyone
went to middle school and it was SHOWTIME!  We started battling and all other students
came to watch, it was a pretty big crowd.  My friend started off the Battle and it was 
their turn.  Everyone was in a happy mood and it was a lot of fun watching and dancing.
I was the fastest Hand-spinner up there, and my friend did the best Flair.  We did a lot
of moves such as Headspins, Handspins, Flairs, Rushing kicks, etc. They were pretty good 
too, but not as good as us.  We won the battle and walked home laughing and talking about 
the things that we did at the battle.  We continued practicing new moves and doing battles
for the whole 9th and 10th Grade.  I enjoyed 9th Grade the most becausea lot of exciting 
things happened.  In 10th Grade I got interested in mixing.  One of my friends was a DJ and
he used to tell us how fun it is to mix up different songs and make your own mixes.  So I 
decided to buy my own set of Turntables.  Unfortunately the store was out of TECHNICS 1200
so I bought GEMINI PT-2000 (clone's of Technics 1200) which were good enough.  I began 
practicing and getting tips from the internet.  Finally I had to my first party!
It was my cousin's Wedding Anniversary party.  So I Dj'ed for them and the party went 
awesome!  The days passed by, and it was our Graduation time! My parents came this time
to see me graduate finally! hehehe =) Then  we had a party for seniors at BAYFAIR MALL at 
midnight.  No one was at the mall!! We were just walkin around, hanging out, playing games, 
and dancing!  There I met a DJ of LADDA SOUNDS and I told him I am a DJ too, but I don't
have any crew so if you guys are looking for someone then I will be happy to join the crew.  
We chatted for a bit, he seemed to be a very nice.  After a week I called him and they had to 
do 3 parties.  So I went with him to one of the parties and Dj'ed there with him.  From that
day I became part of LADDA SOUNDS crew.  We used to DJ different high school Rally's at 
lunch time, Birthday parties, Wedding parties, Company parties, etc.  My mind then
became focused on REMIXING because the scene in Desi cutlure was getting pretty big.  I 
made some REMIXES and later I met the someone who had a pretty nice house Studio.  We became
good friends and started mixing songs.  We were very pleased with the sound that came out and
hitted our ears.  From then on I stopped doing Parties and started remixing.  I loved it!
After a while we wanted to start doing parties again, so we started doing some parties
again.  
guy doing cool moves caught my eyes.  I became interested in it and started doing more 
research on it.  Then I found out where the nearest school is where they taught CAPOIEIRA.
It wasn't very near but still it wasn't that far either.  So me and my friends went to 
the school and checked it out!  Then we started practicing Capoeira too because it was 
so much fun!  I am still practicing Capoeira because I want to master this Art. We are 
currently practicing Capoeira everyday in the evening.  
to get my Computer Science Degree.  I still do some remixes once in a while.  Life is
pretty okay with me right now.  Well now you guys know some of the things about me =)
