Down in the magical woods, amidst the trees and shrubs, you will find Smurf Village University. Although it is recognized for having excellent brewery facilities (Smurf Berry Juice is always in high demand for the local frat's keggers), S.V.U. is most known for their finger soccer team, the Psycho Smurfs. One of the latest teams to join the I.C.S.L., the Smurfs are the talk of table 6 in Cabrera's 3rd hour Spanish class. Originally located at A.T.I., home of the Savages, they suffered a heartbreaking loss to P.U. in Super Cup 1 and had a narrow victory over the same squad in Super Cup 2, with limited the success they were obtaining the team decided a change in climate was the only thing that would help them and the northern, coniferous region of S.V.U. was what they needed. Once at S.V.U. they broke out, and in their first two seasons there they took the Super Cup and went 7-1 in doing so. Season 4 brought troubled times as the team still finished with the Super Cup, but only a 6-2 record after a very hard start in the season. Speculations as to why their level of success declined included rumors of Smurf Berry juice abuse, use of illegal smurf berry steroids, and legal troubles with several star players being involved in gang activities with the local gang, "The Blue Boys". Team captain, Papa Smurf, held a press release saying in which that all speculations were strictly fictional. He reported that they were dealing with a young team as several star seniors were gone from the previous year and the team was still pulling things together. The next few seasons look hopeful however, new talent has been attracted to enroll at S.V.U. after their repeat victories in the Super Cup. And with sponsorship deals being negotiated with many name-brand corporations, the team is looking into a new hi-tech stadium as well as new training facilities. As a result, the Smurfs will be the team to watch in future I.C.S.L. confrontations.
