Name: Cjinn
Short form of cinjinn, who was one of the first original
characters I created for a story I was writing. The
character has long since vanished, the name stuck.
Callsign: Shepherd
This one's simple. I love German Shepherds. They're
fierce, loyal, and dedicated, completely willing to go the extra
mile...(I was going to say willing to go 'Above and Beyond' but
decided to spare y'all. Aren't you glad?)
Position: Executive Officer, Recruitment
Officer, Master of Arms and
Surrogate Mom.
Well, I volunteered for one position and had two of them
"voted" on me. I became Recruitment Officer one
Saturday during our chat. Lia and Cat took advantage of the
fact that I was still new to chats and very slow on the up-take.
(No, this is not a normal state of being for me!) Before I
realized what was happening, I was Recruitment Officer. I became
XO when the Boss decided I didn't have enough responsibilities
and suggested I be given the position in a post over at our
egroups list. Once again, before I realized what was going
on, I was XO. I'm still considering demanding a recount...
I volunteered for the Master of Arms position because once upon a
time in real life I was a full-fledge police officer. I
currently masquerade as the watered-down version (Security
Officer) at a University. Same job. Same
hassles. Less authority. No respect, especially from
the
students. Hey, I didn't claim to be a genius!
The surrogate mom comes from the fact that I'm practically old
enough to be the mom of some of the FoxHunters, including our CO.
Country: USA.
I live in Michigan's beautiful Upper Peninsula, on the shores of
Lake Superior. We're a hardy bunch up here, mainly because
our winters have been known to start in September and last
through May. It is a fact that the Upper Peninsula has had
snow fall in every single month of the year. In spite of
that fact, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else...except for
Lexington, Kentucky which is the next best place on earth.
Additional Information:
Let's see...what else should you know? I could state the
obvious and say I love Space: Above and Beyond, but you already
know that, don't you? My favorite character is Lt. Col. TC
McQueen, played in my humble opinion, unbelievably well by James
Morrison. My favorite episodes? Never No More, The
Angriest Angel, and The River of Stars. I liked all the
episodes...but those three stand out.
I'm 41 and I have a German Shepherd named Simba and a tomcat
named "CC" along with two nieces that I consider almost
as much mine as my sister's. They are a constant source of
amazement, pride, and joy. My nieces that is, not the dog
and cat.
That's about it...
