If the site goes through we should have some good FTP space. Kudos to Jake for finding some sound blaster software, which I'll see how well they work (for me). The joystick looks like it will definatly (ok I can't spell) be part of the game. However, I am encountering a few problems with the keyboard. I've got some great C source, but I can't seem to convert it to C++. It wouldn't be too hard to make it into a .H header (I've done in 10 minutes) but I can't convert it to c++ code. Take a look at it. It's Keyint.ZIP on http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/RoccoLoscalzo/sources.htm If that made no sense to you then it doesn't apply. Everyone that has any intrest in this will be able to help in one way or another. While I'm on the topic, I need a name for the game. I've got the files saved as "Vixen" right now, but I really don't like that name. Also, Jake, I'll put up a copy of my convert.cpp (or did I already give it to you?). If you would be so kind as to replace the old Load32 procedure with your new binary loading procedure, the convert process should work just fine. BTW, the vertical and horizontal offsets are just how many pixels from the top and left (respectivly) the image is. If you create the image in the very top left of your iconed program, the offsets will always be 0. Not a problem. Anyone that's interested will soon be able to create some images for the games. We really need bad guys, but we'll also need some bullets (pictures of different types). Another problem which I hadn't considered earlier is the AI of the baddums. In other words, we need to also decide what the baddums do when they get on the screen. Do they try to ram you? Do they just kind of sit there? Do they shoot? Do they aim if they shoot? How well? How strong are they? What... I think everyone gets the idea. A couple things I want everyone to know before we get into this. If you don't want to help, you don't have to. I won't be offended. I'm doing it just for fun and I'm welcoming anyone that wants to help out (just give me their e-mail address). Also, if you don't know this yet, the game will be a Gradius-style side-scrolling space fighter game. This means you have a ship. You control its movements and when it shoots. You shoot baddums (those are bad guys). Baddums shoot you. You die. Fun? Hope so... SSB (That's: SORRY SO BORING)
