Ever wonder why every other sci-fi title has their own real-time stradegy game and not Star Trek? Well the wait is finally over... Star Trek : Armada is the first RTS game based in the Star Trek universe. It is coming out holiday season 99 and is the anticipation of every Star Trek fan out there... me included. You are put in the Admirals chair of either the Federation, Klingons, Romulans, or even the Borg. You'll be responible for managing resorces, building ships, protection star bases, taking control of systems, even stop a Borg invasion. With voices from Captain Jean-Luc Picard (Patric Stuart) and Lt. Commander Worf (Micheal Dorn) it will be even more like being in the game.

With really dramatic cinematics and being able to use the Enterprise - E and the Defiant... I think that this games will give some major competion to Command and Conquer : Tiberian Sun and Star Wars : Force Commander.

Battle scenes will be interpreted by you in 2D but the action will be in 3D. In other words if you tell the Enterprise to attack a ship in a straight line, it will to loops, and take evasive action on it's own. I believe this will be one of the years best games... if all goes to planned. People of the genre will probably like the game play of the game but we will have to see. But for all you Trekkies out there... the time has come!
